Work has been pretty busy running 12+ hour days trying to get farm stuff done timely. Got home late last night and had a package.

Inside was a nice bottle of scotch with a hand written note from frank
Turns out frank is also a bourbon fan so he sent me a scotch to try out

The balvenie 12 year single malt. Heck of a nice gift frank. I’m looking forward to trying it soon.

Thank you sir!

Dam, I read that Tripod had got you, and that a package was waiting for you, and totally got the wrong impression.

But, that was a very nice gift, Frank.

frank is a good dude. He actually has another word used in his name since the "F" word censored here.

Some of us use his name as a synonym to pass the censors (he approved the use of the Frank word). For example "What the Frank is going on here!" Capital "F" for the F-bomb while a lower case "f" in order to differentiate the word and not use his Franking name disparagingly.

Anyway, sounds like a pretty nice Franking hit from three tracks in the snow frank.

I understand the implication, but didn't know there was a movie involved. What is it?

I'm not really sure where it came from either. It was some shenanigans or a joke that stuck so we ran with it.

frank tripod when he walks, he can leave three tracks in the snow. Jeepers, hopefully that tender appendage wood not get frost bitten. (spelling was intentional).

I guess it was a number of years ago when I casually mentioned I had been a porn star, asked if mebbe anyone had seen me in Three Tracks in the Snow and my stage name was Frankie Tripod.

It kinda stuck, I tried to undo it but MACS said too late, I owned it, just like he owned the whole deek cancer thing.

anyhoo, hope ya find the Balvenie pleasant on the ol' taste buds, Jake.

Frank this scotch is good. I’ve only had a couple different kinds of scotch so I don’t know much about it. I do know this is the best I’ve ever drank. It’s very light almost has like a floral /sweet note to it. Might add a cube of ice but haven’t yet. (Might not). I poured a good 4 fingers or so in my glass csgamecock made for me. I’m vibing with it. Thank you very much sir!

I know you always got my back, you're a good friend. but I'm just keeping a minimum amount of cigars at home these days.
Not quitting but definitely cutting back.

It got crazy years ago, aging and collecting...500 smokes were here. I know for some that's penny ante stuff but it took a long time to smoke, trade, give 'em all away until I was left with a sensible amount.

The best part of smoking a fine cigar had always been that it was like an appointment I looked forward to, knowing I kinda earned it like a reward...unlike what cigarettes were like decades ago when I'd woof one down if there was a five minute opening...cigs told me when it was time to smoke (almost always was) but cigars were special events.

Or so they were until I had soooo many that I smoked sometimes just because I was just bored, or just cuz the weather was decent, whatever. It robbed me of the pleasure.

I know after writing all this some azzhats are gonna say "so, you're low". HA!
Yup, by choice.

This is one of the reasons I don't smoke many small cigars. After quitting smoking cigarettes, small cigars remind me of cigarettes too much. If I can't sit down and relax and enjoy something bigger, I'll just wait until I can.

But I have way too many cigars. At my current consumption rate, I'm at least 4 years, maybe 5, before I'm out, and that would be in the impossible scenario where I don't buy any more.

I understand your take on this, but I prefer romusto and smaller rings...most of the time.
For me, cigars don't equate with cigarettes, just seem like different products affecting me and my sense of pleasure differently. At some point I became angry at cigarettes and that was the end of them forever. Cigars actually became a regular thing a few years after quitting cigs.
