I don't think the thread stops at 500 like it used to Charlie. It goes to infinity and beyond!

We have been continuing the tradition of Chazz and WT stealing threads and starting new ones. Whistle

If it makes em happy, who are we to take that from them?

And it's Chazz with the win... way to go!

So should we post here or on the old thread?

In other news, I got a request to write a funding proposal for my (hopefully) new job. That's a totally good sign because in my case it's pretty much a formality because my (hopefully) future boss already has the funding and they have all the applicants write a funding proposal... so basically I had to write it anyway just so they can say everyone had to do it. I got it done today and sent it off to him so I hope to hear back from him soon about it.

Keeping my fingers crossed (the few that I still have, LOL).

Thanks! I got an email back already saying that he liked my funding proposal and that it should move on to their HR department soon. No official job offer yet, but he did ask me when could I start... so that sounds promising. :-)

Jesse,
There is one in Okemos on the 9th and Battle Creek is on the 10th. Looks like I will be working the BC event if I can get the day off from the Bank.

WAZZZZ-up!

Back in full swing with the kids. I was trying to find a way to get to BC but the schedule is just to much. today : 8:30 B-ball in Plainwell for Kendall, 11:30 B-ball game for good friends son, Soccer game in Kalamazoo for Kendall at 1:30, B-Ball awards ceremony at 6:30 in Martin, Soccer game in Grand Rapids for Carson at 8:00 pm

Tomorrow is 3 soccer games one in Grand Rapids for Carson at 10:30 and another in Kalamazoo at 1:30 for Kendall... and Colt is in Grand Rapids for soccer at 3:30.
I sure am glad the price of gas is only 4 bucks. I know....I'll rest when I'm dead......Until then I smoke cigars....lol

Lots of herf talk, wish I could make it but hopefully I'll be on my way to NM again around that time for a house hunting trip. No job offer yet, but it's still in the works.

I'd like to dope slap my PhD advisor... I had asked him on January 15th to send Los Alamos a letter of recommendation, he wrote back on the 17th that he would... I had the interview on February 14th and found out that he hadn't sent the letter yet. Once I got back home I asked him again, he said he'd send it but lost the contact info as to who to email it to so I sent that to him again. He wrote me back saying that he'd send it in a day or so because he was out of town... ok, fine... a few days go by and he asked me for the contact info again... WTF?!? I sent it to him. Then this past Monday I wrote to my (hopefully) future boss to ask if he got the letter yet and he didn't, so I wrote my previous advisor to ask him to send it... again he lost the contact info, so I sent it again. FInally I got an email on Thursday from Los Alamos saying that they got the letter and now they can proceed with sending my application materials to their HR department since they actually do the hiring. Holy **** on a biscuit Batman, talk about a cluster ****. In defense of my old advisor, he's nearly 70 years old, works 12+ hours a day still, gets over 200 emails a day, and is in the U.S. less than he is in some foreign country (his passport must look like a NYC phone book)... so he's a busy guy... but still, I'd like to dope slap him at times, LOL!

So... with any luck I should know in a week or so about whether I got the job or not. Man, I've heard this "week or so" thing for a month now... gotta love the speed at which government entities operate... not!

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

I am overstocked. Just coming up to enjoy the day with my boys. Don't need any sticks.

Shouldn't be as stressed as I was thinking. My microbiology class is going good. Good group I have this year compared to last year.

Noob alert! I live in Angola, IN. about 45 minutes from Battle Creek. Where is the place you guys are herfing at? My dad lives in BC and could possibly visit and smoke. Not a great chance I could make it but who knows. FWIW, a new cigar club has been started in Ft. Wayne. They had their first meeting last month and a DE rep was there passing out LP 9's, UC, and other swag. Thanks. Josh
