Good point! That's where mine is located... Now all you need is a tent in the driveway for the cars and you're good to go!

Congrats Opel. Welcome to the world of homeownership.

BTW, the vent gasket center looks like it's got a little dry rot. Might want to take care of that before it rains. And the front door threshold is just the least bit off plumb. Foundation?.?.? As Cycleman would say "Bwahahahahahahhaha...."

Thank you all for the kind congratulations... The front lawn is nice, but the back yard is where the real beauty of this house lies... I'll post a pic of that as soon as I can...

Drafter - the pupy dog is a 105 lb. red-nosed pitbull... he's the kindest, most gentle dog you'll ever meet, but he's also 12 years old, so if I had to guess at where he was when this pic was taken, I would say he was sleeping comfortable in the ar conditioned house...

As for the "herf lounge" my wife agreed before we ever moved in that she would be ok with me coverting half the garage... so as soon as one of my construction buddies heads over to the house, we'll be adding a wall and a ventilation fan and the herf lounge wil be operatonal...

Thanks again for all the congrats... my wife and I are very excited to finally be in a home of our own..

Kool. Gonna need to count on us foothillers to keep sending water to keep that lawn green. Enjoy!

Question - Where is the cigar in the photo?

What are you talking about? That cigar is nowhere near my wife's purse.

I had to make the joke before someone else beat me to it...

Congrats dude! A nice lawn like that will turn you into an anal bastid. I know this to be true because it happened to me. I have become that guy who won't let anyone on his lawn. Maybe one day we can talk about fertilizers, watering routines, preferred length of grass, and such.

Other than what I'm wearing in the pic, every piece of clothing I own is packed up somewhere or currently being unpacked... I did wear that shirt the day before this pic was taken however, so it's probably somewhere with the rest of my dirty clothes...

Pastor Matt Troupe and the rest of his family are actually headed over tonight for some Hebrew National hot dogs and home made chili...

You can bet we will be breaking out a couple of cigars and I still have quite a few of the ones you sent out here, so there's always a possibility we'll be smoking those...

I finally got around to that black pearl morado the other day and it was delicious.... thank you much....

Thanks DMV... I have no idea how to take care of it though... I want it to remain nice, so I'm in the backyard trying to figure the sprinkler system out right now...

what sprinkler valves water what? how long do I water each area? what days am I allowed to water? am I going to burn the lawn by watering when the sun is out and it's hot? what type of fertilizer do I use for a lawn like this, and is it too late in the summer to apply a fertilizer now?

these are all questions I'm in the backyard and on google trying to figure out right now...

as per hambones advice I've started practicing yelling the phrases "get off my lawn!" and "walk on the sidewalk not on my grass you filthy hippie!"... I'm getting pretty good...

Talk to the previous owner!

When I recently sold my house I gave them my number and told them to call if they had questions about the home. The first week I was questioning myself if I made a huge mistake as he called almost everyday!

I talked to them this week for the first time in a long time. We're invited over to dinner anytime at their house. That's pretty cool too!
