Alright, here goes my very first review of a cigar:
PRELIGHT: fresh smell, very light, mown grass maybe. Chocolate appearance, firm with slight give-- could see the progression of the wrapper around the stick, pigtail cap (that came off nicely with the cut. Covered foot...
BURN: perfect. held it's ash nicely through the first inch or more, burned straight and true even after a re-light due to having to walk the dog.. Ash is light whitish gray, with dark lines in between puffs.
FLAVOR: at first, sweet, with a slight pepper finish in the retrohale.. Not the chocolate I was anticiapting. Through out the body of this cigar, leather, mocha, cream with some light hay/grass finish.
OVERALL: A light to medium smoke that I enjoyed. Medium bodied cigar that I would smoke again, and again. Tried very hard not to heat this baby up. I smoke fast and probably ruin lots of cigars. Was conscious not to do that here. Would like more on the drag.
PAIRING: Captain Morgan, Diet followed by Jameson, ginger ale drinks. Mixed strong.
TOTAL: Prelight, 10. Burn, 10. Flavor, 8. Overall 7. WOULD SMOKE AGAIN.
NAME OF CIGAR: Man O' War Little Devil -- did I cheat? Yes. Had the list and looked em up. Picture matches. But, I read a review from Puff and I believe it matches. This had the leather I love and the size was perfect. This is easily a 7/10 cigar.
My first attempt at really "tasting" a cigar. Never seems to be enough time and there's always a wife with something else I should be doing.
Kombat, THANK YOU!--- This was a very nice cigar and should be enjoyed with company and booze. Drunk posting as I type. Something to to savor -- not a golf stick by any means. Too light for that. Makes me wanna slow down when smoking. I usually make 'em too hot, I'm sure.
Man O' War Little Devil - pefectly named. This little devil was a fine smoke!
