I like mine too.......Thank you.I can definitely pick the nose of a whiskey apart with that little Glencairn glass.I don't think it helps much in the taste department however.

Instead, grabbed a bottle of Elijah Craig 12 to have at my lady friends house. Hurt my neck having shower sex so I am 4 fingers deep with two 500mg ibuprofen

Don't you hate when that happens. I found a bottle at my in laws house of Balvenie Founders Reserve 10 year which apparently is no longer bottled, stopped back in 09. Supposedly pretty good, I can't bring myself to open it. Funny thing is he had no idea it was even in his pantry.

^ it's a steal.

Had two firsts last night.

Sazerac Rye (awesome)
Dalmore 12 (awesome as well, with just enough smoke to be interesting but not overpowering)

I wasn't expecting much, but I'd say it's as good as the Bulleit Rye I'd been buying for $29.

Are we talking the Saz 6 year? If so, I'd say at $40 it's worth a first time buy to try, after that there are much better Ryes out there. Or heavy rye bourbons, Wild Turkey Rare Breed comes to mind.

George T. Stagg 2014 - lives up to the hype
Jefferson's Ocean Aged (4 i think) - the finish is pure salt water and in my opinion awful. Glad I tried this in a bar and didn't buy a bottle for 85.00. That being said 1/4 ppl that tried it with me really enjoyed it.

Bottom shelf of the Class Six store Scotch. Or I think it's scotch, cause it's name is Highlands something or other. Makes Cutty Sark taste like a complex single malt to be honest, but it soothes the throat after teaching all day and gets me to sleep.
