Understand these are supposed to be similar to the Leccia Black with fire-cured tobacco.
The Lecia Black is a good smoke.
Where's mine???
Wanting to try.

I don't believe so. The cigar you are referencing is the KFC (Kentucky Fire Cured) which is diff. THAT is supposed to be like Leccia Black...which, as a side note, I finally tried and it is MUCH diff. than a standard cigar for sure.

Thanks, you're right. But these are supposed to be much different too, aren't they?

This are more similar to a T52 IMHO. They can stand side-by-side with the Ligas for half the price. They are not as powerful but a welcomed addition to the DE family.

I would agree with efine in that they are a cheaper version...ala undercrown, BUT a little different still.

I only had the one, and like I said, I was drunk. I certainly didn't think of pitching it at any point.

Think Cheaper version of the Undercrown??? That makes me think twice about these, especially considering the large ring gauge. And there's 'lists' waiting for these? Think

Found the UC's to be very smokey, and almost waxy in the way they burn. May still seek the KFC's only because I like the Leccia's.

I am about half way through my first one of these and I am enjoying it so far. Started off with a cocoa and pepper and now seems to be cocoa and I wanna say mint like note. I think they are worth the $7 price point so far. Then again this is the first half of my first one.

Just picked up 2 of these from my local. I don't think that this is going to be like the UC they look and smell different, I guess I will find out tomorrow night (smoked a UC tonight)

If you are not a fan of the UC I don't think you will like these any better. Just tried my first one. Smokes like an oily rag. Flavor profile: same d'oh!

I picked up a 5'er at Myrtle Beach last week. They had just received a new box.

I've smoked two so far and both were enjoyable with great burn and flavor. I've seen some bad reviews about tunneling and being bland but I didn't get either of those wiht the two I smoked.

I'll wait just like with UC and Papa Fritas and scoop some up after everyone stops falling over each other with another new DE release

Finally got to smoke mine last night and it was not like DE UC. I smoked the toro and it was a solid 1.5hr burn. My palate isn't as seasoned as some of you but it was a really tasty stick earthy, woody, a little chili heat, a nice sweet spice (cinnamon?) and a chocolate coffee taste here and there. Overall a solid smoke. Oh I had this with a Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout and wow did they compliment each other!! But that's just my opinion and Im a newb :)

I need to find more. Got my first fiver for a decent price. Cost has gone up since then.

This was the smokiest cigar I"ve EVER had. But despite the room-fogging smoke (seriously saw clouds of smoke pour out when I opened the garage door) it was a very good stick. Light draw, medium-full flavor without much punch. A plethora of flavor (dark flavor - cocoa, pepper, leather, oil), without going bitter even down to the nub.

I'm a DE fan to start, so this was really right up my alley. I've not had a DE product I didn't like (though the infused lines have lost their appeal)

This cigar really blew me away. I write little notes and letter grades on the bands. This one got an A, and a note of "f'ing buy more"

Disclaimer: IM a noob and I don't know what I'm talking about.

Had my first today... Solid as a rock but very nice easy draw. Super slow burn. 2hrs for me.... Excellent burn, draw, smoke... I was not wowed by the flavor. Coulda been the dark roast black coffee paired with it overpowered it. But seemed kinda bland for a full bodied stick. I would like to revisit it with a lighter beverage. Perhaps once all the silly hype has died down and can get here for $4...

I have 25 in the humidor. Got mine from my local B&M for 4.90 a stick. I might finally light one up tomorrow or some time this week hopefully.

I love the LP9 and the T52. The Nica Rustica and Undercrown, not so much. I wouldn't buy them again.

Tried one this afternoon - OK construction, good burn but wrapper was cracked in a small spot - didn't affect burn at all. Taste was mostly earth & some pepper, not a lot. Not complex. I thought the Undercrown was a tad mellower. More mellow? Whatever...

N.R. is a good, slightly above average maduro smoke. Not as good as Pinar del Rio Tres Ligas Maduro Limitada though, which can be had for under $2per from another on-line cigar retailer. Of course it was a huge surprise at that price.

Have to agree with Rick on the burn, although I'd say it was more like it had wax or sumpin in there with the tobacco....
It Did burn weird. I won't be after any more of these
