I see where C-Bid has put the Cu-Avana Punisher up for bid. Like Acid's (Drew Estate) Nasty, it is well-named. This is one of the most putrid POS's I have ever smoked. I could only make it through 3 puffs before throwing the stick away. I had to give the rest away to a guy who must be a masochist (yes, I warned him.) You are "greeted" by a blast of what tastes like cayenne pepper. It must be an infused cigar because tobacco doesn't naturally have that flavor. I suggest that the CIA use this instead of waterboarding at Guantanamo. One or two puffs of this dog turd would make an innocent man confess.Scared

One man's trash . . . and all that

I actually have liked the ones I've smoked ( but its been a while) Sure the pepper at the start is artificial an strong, but its just pepper. After the first inch or so, that goes away and it mellows into a decent smoke. They aren't elitist, but they can be enjoyable sitting around the campfire with a nice beverage.

I tried one maybe 2 summers ago and didn't care for it myself. I thought the best part of it was the pepper they put on the tip. Once that wore off I didn't care for the taste. Now my bro in law likes them and I haven't seen him with one in awhile but I know he has bought a couple 5ers of them in the past.

Thanx for the input. I couldn't get past the pepper. Much too hot for me.

they are a decent Habano smoke for 2 bucks. Try Bahia Matanzas. You can pinch a 12 Box for around $2.50per any day of the week. Excellent, under the radar cigar.

So someone could buy a cheap cigar put a little cayenne on the head and make their own.

I think they might get the same effect by dipping the cigar in napalm for a day or two before lighting the stick up.

Have a buddy that it is his favorite. I just snag some for him once in awhile.
Had another friend stop by the shop one night and told him the humi is open.
He grabbed one and thought the guy was going to die! Haha we shamed him into
finishing it.

I really enjoy the Punishers. I have several in my humidor. What's fun is when I have a buddy over and I pull a couple out and don't say anything about the "kick" it has on the first third. I have done this several times and the reaction is priceless.

Good cigar to mix up with some peppered jerky during the first third. Follow up with a peppery red wine (cab sav?). Nice if your into all that!
