I grabbed a couple Kinkycristos as an add-on to a cbid order a good while ago. Dug one out recently, not expecting much - it was a great smoke. So I tried to find some more and found them to be no more. Too bad, I lthink they were made in the USA. Bummer.

I seem to remember them from somewhere in Texas. I wasn't really impressed with them when they had little rest, but now I'll have to try them sometime and see if they got better. Seems to me that a saw a sampler on CBID not very long ago. Which one did you smoke ?

The Lone Star and the Big Richard were decent but didn't cause me to get any more.

Bummer. I've seen em in a couple B&Ms over the last year or two, and meant to pick some up, at least to give them a try and stick the band in my cigar journal. Interesting name - even if the smoke wasn't very memorable.

I actually had one (probably a 5er) on backorder a year or so ago and they told me they weren't going to get anymore. I've got a Big Richard at the top of one of my humidors- it came w/o cello. I think I have or had all the varieties they made, but never liked them enough to stock up on any one.

I have a box of "Big Richard's" which was the only one I liked. Will have to pull one out and try them again.

I remember discussing the company and I think they made only six varieties: The Governor, Texas Jewboy, Kinckycristo, Big Richard, Willie shaggy foot, and the Utopian. If that's right, I have or have had them all. Do a search for Kinky Friedman---interesting stories.
