Most people seem to be ok with some sort of Gurkha or another. A lot of folks say they usually can't tell the difference between RP 2nds or x outs. Are Gurkhas too random of a type to hope a recipient will also enjoy that same Gurkha type to send it out? Frowned upon to send out 2nds, mistakes etc.?

I used to send Gurkhas when I was a super noob. Now, I only send them when a noob is asking about them...I sent JB a nice sampler once...lol not sure how that went for him.

I enjoy a few Gurkhas...Beauty, Symphony, Elegance, Ghost, Centurian, the first half of widow maker maduro is good.

See? There's one in every crowd. I don't mind some of em either. I swore em off when it felt like I was playing a guessing game. But hey, I too like a good $2-3 stick. The Elegance was a nice surprise. Now, about the beauty. I've got like two handfuls of em. I can't stand em. If you want em PM me your addy and I'll ship em out. I do have a Genghis Kahn that I'm excited to try in a few years. I think I'll wait till its 12-15 years old

Can make a hard case against that statement. I have tried many, will try many more, and as of yet haven't turned my back entirely on the Gurks.

you can get most Gurkha blends here for around 2 bucks per cigar. Why bother with 2nds when the front lines are hardly average Don't buy 'em. Shame on you

Fluffy, you can get genesis the project and jdn antano 1970 consuls in the 2-3 dollar range all ay long. both are great sticks, and as this date I have NEVER had either blow up on me.

You know...I really am starting to like the Odyssey just as much as Genesis. I wonder what is next for Bueso...Sumatra, Habano??

Most Ghurkas you buy here or anywhere online will actually be repackaged Victor Sinclair 2nds to begin with. I would hate to think what a Ghurka 2nd would be!

Perhaps you should take a look at the trades board. Plenty examples if the sort of trades people are doing around here.

Why would anyone spend $6 to send out $10 worth of dog **** to a fellow BOTL?

Absolutely not talking about Gurkha 2nds. RP 2nds and whoever the "mistakes" are pulled from. I'll go on record with the masses about RP 2nds being a good stick. I was originally just talking about gifting, etc. As for myself I now figure that, at least for the Gurkhas, it's best to know your pals best before doing it or it could turn into a "what the hell" kind of moment.

Now that's low- VS premiums are not as good as Gurkha 2nds. Hell, VS cigars are worse than gas station cigars.
