Go ahead, try and give a couple. My wine season is starting up soon and I am good with traveling around with 8 fingers but after that it just can't be comfy

I like red wine.........but for me......doesn't work with a cigar......I've tried it several times.

My cigar pairings are water, coffee, or a stout beer........depending on the time of day, etc.

I used to love a Scotch or a Bourbon with my cigars, but gave that up a few years ago.

Yeah, water, coffee, and stout beer are great. New to the stout beer scene but not interested enough to get too involved there. Scotch!! Love it paired but I'm trying to keep that low too. Although reds are my favorite, I'm finding desert wines pairing easier. And I'm a wine club member with one that has a great brandy wine that pairs with everything I've tried it with

Like a big Aussie shiraz with some cigars but a port usually works better.

Port goes well with just about anything! The list of Cabs from Cacman is good too - the Coppola is my favorite and enjoy it with MUWAT +11, WOAM, or a Camacho triple maduro.

+1 on that.
I put away a magnum of Silver Oak Alex Valley 2003 for son's graduation from college (next spring) and put away a pair of 2008 Oliva V torpedos to go with it.

It's tough. It seems logical. Earthy, nuts, robust, cedar, oak, black pepper, etc. It just seems like they can tangle up to compete. But man, when they complament each other to a palate that appreciates the combo, it's just perfect for the senses. I really can tune out easily then cause there isn't a whole lot that is able to reach my senses attention from there. A lion roaring in my face might do it but hey, maybe that's why I don't own a lion

Hey Puff, at 34 you are still a slave to your peniz and have to think twice about just walking out of the house or you don't get any. For me at 62, meh! rather have a cigar in peace and look at Jack Conrad's soft porn postingsfog

Yeah, I feel like I have plenty of time to do what I gotta do. Once in a while I question my ambition but realize all the blessings in my life and realize what should I be running from. My thing doesn't own me. I'll choke that motherfer and put him back in his place. He knows he only has one home. He tried fighting that during the dating of my wife before she was my wife. He made me take 7 years to pop the question. People say I'm feisty, that SOB was fighting it like a drunk lady getting arrested on Cops.

I used to like merlot with cigars, other reds, some whites.

Lately, it's 90 % port.

I'm leaning more and more towards tawny ports with a cigar.

I don't like for the wine or port to be so strong as to contrast with the cigar, I want it to blend with it and not overpower.

Had a black muscat this evening with an illusione F9. Delightful.

Going to have to buy more

Went to my local wine shop and bought a couple different ports to try. Seems like its highly recommended. Thanks

Hope you didn't waste money on a ruby or white. With perhaps a few exceptions, these are little more than sweet dessert wines.

For an economical bottle with some depth, look for a 20 or more year tawny.

Vintages, are the best, but at a much higher price point. For instance, 2011 was the last great Port vintage. They bottom out at about $100 a bottle.

An excellent choice if you can find it is a 2003 bottle of Cockburn. Though it's still a bit young for vintage port, at about $70 a bottle it's one the the better port buys.

If you have a good wine merchant nearby and deep pockets seek out '85, 91, '92, '97, '00, 03, '07, '09 and '11's.

Usually Tawney's don't have a specific year as they are blends of multiple vintages. Sure it's not a 4 year Tawney??

If You are on a budget, it would be hard to beat Graham's Six Grapes port.

Pair with Anejo, or your favorite maddie. Heavenly!

I assumed that from the label that is marked VA on top and '04 on bottom. May have been when it came in to VA?

Yeah, I'm budgeted. I splurge to find what's right at first then maintain a good system from there with a reserve of a couple top shelf thingamajigs
