I need everyone's opinion here.... When unpacking an order and placing your new cigars in your humidor for the de stressing period, do you unwrap them from their individual wrappings and place them in there bare? Or do you just take off the pack wrap and leave them in their wraps?
I have heard both ways and want to know what's better.

Leave the cello on it is porous and protects the cigar,,

So tempting to make an A hole comment about wrapper versus cello.

I keep them how they came. In my opinion it helps isolate unfortunate incidents like bugs and mold.

At first I took them off of everything. Now that I'm involved in trades a lot and I travel with them I find it best to just keep it on. That and it's much easier to dive to the bottom of a cooler with cello

The primary perception is that no one is real. We only exist.

Maybe a cardboard box, bubble wrap, zippy bag, dinky package, cello off, on thread?

Norm, you see lots of opinions both ways, as that is what it really comes down too. What ever you feel comfortable with here is fine. Don't over complicate it.

The cigars will age in the cello, and it provides some extra protection. Some feel, that the cigars age better/faster without cello, I don't know of any evidence either way.

Your question has been addressed on the site many times, just do a search and you can find just about everyone's opinion.

Now if your next question is beads or litter. . . Sarcasm

Take each one out and gently and lovingly caress it while saying,"My Precious, My Precious"! Then maniacally laugh while placing them one by one in your humidor in neat rows... Or you could just leave them in the box and put the whole box in your humidor.

WHAT? The box won't fit in your humidor! Well first go buy some beads and make a coolerdor and then take each one out while gently and lovingly caressing it while saying, "My Precious, My Precious!" Then the crap about the laughing.

The laughing is the important part. Cigars taste like crap without the laugh!

Best of luck.

I always keep the in cello for what little protection it offers. A better question is do you remove the plastic 5 pack (0r larger) wrapping.

Depends. If I'm going to smoke the cigar, then yes. If not, then no.

I really hope you're wrong about this.
I was under the impression that this was cello as well? (I'm talking about how fivers and teners are wrapped/sealed)

I hope it is cello, because I keep it on until I'm ready to smoke one.
