Cigars that are generally obtainable thru merchants. Looking to further broaden my selection…not too worried about wrappers, sstrength, etc. Just your current 3 favs.

A brief description would be cool if you’re up for it.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm far from a vet, but what do you mean by favorite? kinda hard to nail down... the cigar I enjoyed the most by far was an opus x power ranger abrignac gave me... had at least 3 years on it he said... by far my favorite "special" smoke, but I wouldn't want to smoke them everyday...

one of my favorite everyday's is the dpg jj maduro right now... thanks critter...

actually, I also really enjoyed the honey and hand grenades sd72 sent me too... and the mummy, also from him... so I guess that would round out my top 3 special smokes... but again, I'm far from a vet...

I would say that the things you excluded are the very reason that "vets" smoke what they smoke.

In addition, I'm sure most "vets" have about 20 different cigars in their rotation to keep one fr burning out on a particular cigar.

*I* don’t care what wrapper the contributor favors etc, I fully realize there are preferences, of course. I’m not sure I’m at a point of saying I prefer a such and such length, wrapper, etc. So I’m not looking for a list of favorite maduro wrapper smokes, or favorite toro’s… just a fav 3.

Simply your 3 favorite cigars, money no object, only availability. No deep thinking, Shoot off your current favorite 3 the best you’re able.

CC’s, limited…all game outside of retirees and/or no longer available thru normal channels.

Maybe I should re-word this so no-one feels pigeon holed: List 3 must try cigars that are available please.

Padron- Can't go wrong with any but FR have been my favorite line
LP- t52 has been my taste lately
Don Carlos 30th anniversary
Opus
Anejo
Oliva Melanio
Viaje DES2
LFD Factory press

I really could go on. It's like asking which year was best in a good marriage. I'd love to list cc's but I'm not versed enough there yet. I'm not what some people would call a vet, but I've smoked hundreds of different kinds of cigars and my shpo protects me (really, start talking about guns and see how many pistols are out in seconds.)

Ohhhhhh...and any Gurkha, any time, any price, any size, dipped in cognac or dishwater send them on over

“Camacho Corojo Monarca”

Help me out here…the original has a brown label, the new release a big red label?

I'm not a vet, but, yes, the original corojo has a smallish brown label and the monarca is the robusto.

BTW: great smoke...

Tons of excellent cigars mentioned above and I would gladly smoke any one of them. However, most are kind of pricy.
A couple I light up regularly that don't break the piggy bank, 5 Vegas AAA and La Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuerte.

LOL just saw this

I do like the tat 7th and would agree it is really a better cigar than the PCR if your measuring cigar against cigar, I really prefer the size of the PCR though for my smoking. I tend to smoke pretty slowly, and the hour it takes me to smoke a PCR, is a lot of times all I can find to get my cigar in.

And I love a fancy umbrella in my bourbon. . .

Remember, this is a forum for a US based discount cigar retailer. CCs aren't exactly what people come here looking for. Of course, there is obtainable and there is 'obtainable'. Plenty of cigars that are sold out at retailers are pretty easy to find on the secondary market. Here is my top 3 list of recent production cigars. CCs are recent production (2012 or later).

As someone else said, this changes from week to week.

I interpret your thread as asking for guidance on things to try.

I would suggest any new person try Tats in brown label, anejos, Illusione and Illusione epernay. There are a ton of cigars of various brands/blends/construction and preferences. Everyone has a different pallet and pocketbook. But the those I just noted seem to have few detractors and a lot of people that enjoy them. Add headley grange to the mix, I am not sure that those are so widely loved but it seems to me they have the blend about right on them.

There are quite a few others I enjoy , but figure those in the above paragraph are usually suitable to just about everybody.

I can't afford to smoke (on a regular basis) most of the cigars mentioned in this thread, although I wouldn't even consider Ron Mexico which (I assume) was put in as a gag. I list, in no particular order, many of the cigars I like and smoke on a regular basis.
1) Pioneer Valley
2) Cuba Libre
3) Nica Libre
4) VS Bohemium (love that pigtail)
5) 5 Vegas Gold (can't help it. I like them.)
6) Gurkha Shaggy Lancero
7) Gurkha Beauty
8) Brocatus

I may have missed some but these are the ones I am most likely to buy or bid on. On occasion I "splurge" and buy a Padron, which I would smoke every day if I could afford it. Herfing
