Been a while since I posted a picture here... But I think it says what size the file needs to be. Make the file that size.

google "picture resize" ....lots of sites will do it for free...most won't hurt your computer much

Not super pc savvy but usually if sharing a pic it will auto size..no clue as to size or how to resize as it just pic of my cat trying to steal sticks sent to me...I really wanna post as I think it funny..if someone knows how to do either explain or I can send pic to someone to post for me?thanks for the help guys...

You can re-size it in the basic Paint program, re-save it. I was wondering if you can save it in this forum. I know they have the 2 picture forums. Kind of convienent if you can do it here.

Install irfanview and the plugins package for it. Then crop or resize and use the "save for web" feature.

Open the pic with Paint.

Check Orientation. You may need to rotate it 90 degrees right.

Click Resize.

Change one of the two numbers in the top half to 50. The other one will change automatically to maintain the same aspect ratio.

Click OK

Right ABOVE where it says Paste, Click the Downward pointing triangle.

Click Save As

Where it says Save as File Type, Change file type to JPEG

Where it says File name: Type in something like "file_name_CBID"

Click Save

Look at the bottom of the paint window. It should have a size. This number needs to be under 200 kb to post it.

You can play with the percentage, up and down as needed, until you're right below 200. Keep in mind that every time you change the percentage, you need to save the file so the size updates.

Once you are below 200 kbs, you will be able to post the picture.

I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

Simply get the photo from the phone to the computer.
Open the photo with Picture Manager.
Right click on the photo and select Edit Pictures
A menu pops up over to the right.
Select Compress Pictures.
Select Compress for Documents.
OK
Then Save As and rename it in case you want to preserve the intial photo.
(I just add an 's' to the end of the filename, such as img_1234.jpg becomes img_1234s.jpg. s for small.)

Works for me.

Much appreciated help though the problem lies in cbid girls moderator...I was trying to post a pic which had cat stealing ziploc of smokes...there was a humi pack from ***...hence the issue....my avatar was same pic ...so I covered up...cropped humi pac yet still wont post pic ?if you look at avatar yesterday vs today u can c difference though cigar pic they have not let post either...so not sure wat to say.imo its childish bs but their rules....so maybe in near future....

Idk...I got both pics below kb limit and both worked as avatar so I have talked to one of cbid ppl most of day and got no where with exception of cat is cute but had humi from competition...which again as seenbin avatar I cropped...the other post was just cigars....I. honestly think they hatn on a charlie barr.....?

Dude… The Alcohol & CBid l Anonymous 12-step program is shorter. Buy a Mac. PM with any questions after you're done with that latest Windows Update download.

BTW - Maximum image width dimensions must be 800 pixels or less .
