Just booked a trip to Vegas for my nephews birthday (his 21st) and was wondering if anyone will be there during that time frame. Going to make a stop at CF one of those days and who knows what else. Oh any tips where to get the best selection of craft beers out there would be helpful.

On Freemont Street there is a venue called Neonopolis.Inside here is a place called the Banger Brewery......I found it interesting and one of the best craft beer stops in Vegas. However as usual once down I return to the Old Chicago Brewery in The Four Queens casino for some more Downtown Brown, best brew in Vegas IMHO.Admittedly I am not much of a beer drinker anymore. If you have any interest in whisky bars that is where my expertise lies these days.

Oh and please grab Drafter an ashtray.......My last few trips I forgetted.Casa Fuente in Cesar's Forum Shops has a beautiful selection.

McMullens used to be my favorite whisky stop but last trip that all changed.I found another Irish Pub with an even better selection of whisky and better grub........Rí Rá.Its in the Mandalay Bay shoppes on Mandaly Bay Road. The only time I left Freemont Street was to head here.Scotch's I never heard of,Bourbon's thought to be found only in Kentucky and Irish Whisky's that are so rare you better try them all.Oh yea they have Canuck Whiskey too if you're into that stuff.

Enjoy, I've never been there. Feel free to stop at Liquor World Las Vegas! Last time I spoke with them (like a week or 2 ago), they had Old Blowhard, Elijah Craig 21, and Elijah Craig 23. If their price is reasonable I would happily send pp for you to ship me one or three! I doubt I could make up their value in cigar trades. I has very limited cool stuff.

If you don't make it, no sweat. Enjoy Las Vegas!!!

Cacman, we hit sin city brewery last night and my honest opinion it was not worth the time it takes to drink a beer. Tried the ipa, stout, and Amber and all 3 taste watered down with barely any flavor.

So if you are in a time crunch when you are here that is one I would skip.

Jamie and I drank beer all over Vegas a couple years ago....Sin City,Triple 7,Banger,Ellis Island so on and so forth.None of them really grabbed me.When I'm in Vegas and I want a great beer I head to the Chicago Brewing Company in the Four Queens casino for a Downtown Brown.Best craft beer in Vegas as far as I'm concerned. They're also cigar friendly and the pizza ain't bad at all.

To be perfectly honest though my last trip I bought 3 bottles of bourbon for vacation consumption.I kept my flask full and had one helluva time.Somewhere in all this I found Ri Ra.........more great whiskies.

Enjoy my friend

Was at Chicago brewing today and I didn't get a chance to try more then the stout there but it was identical to stout at sin city which I thought was pretty poor.

Banger brewery was decent, the imperial stout was good and the El Heffe was decent also the belguin Ipa was good.

Most of the Vegas microbreweries, at least the ones I've been to, seem to have less aggressive beers than you might find elsewhere, my guess would be so as to cater to a larger clientele. 777 has a good saison, but they don't make it that often. Gordon Biersch is a chain brewery out of San Jose, most of their draft beer is made on site at the brewpub but they are very strict with their brewers, so if you've been to one, you've been to them all. HB is unique in that you can get a German beer there that is fresh and not the transport damaged crap typically available here. If you have a rental car, there's also Tenaya Creek Brewery, Big Dog's and Boulder Damn Brewing.

The Pub in Monte Carlo had a huge menu of craft brews. Expensive but worth the visit for me since there was a ton of stuff on the menu I can't get on the east coast.

Also as stated many times on here the mojitos at casa Fuente were fantastic. Made for an excellent time their with a smoke.

Unless something has changed since last October,Casa Fuente could care less if you bring your own.I've been privy to some pretty serious smack downs in CF.........bomber and bombee.Smoked a boatload of my own while sipping mojito's as well.
