This is one of my recent favs. Was stoked to see it in the top 25..and that price tag makes me feel better about what i paid for them!

I don't know what kind of palate these guys have at CigarAficionado, but they are so wrong. There are at least 10 better CCs than the Epicure No. 2. Just to name a few: Monte No. 4, Monte Petit Edmundo, RA Specially Selected, and I won't even go premium. These dudes are on crack!

I'm willing to bet Padron is #1 on the list.

I just had the PAM 1926 Torpedo 40 Year and I would rate it in my top 5. (Bgz, might have hurt my future wallet by PIBing this one to me).

I don't think that one qualifies, I believe that one was from 2012 or 2013 :D

(I forget what the box said).

Anyway, my bad, didn't mean to damage the wallet :)

I would take an Epi 2 over each one of those cigars in a heartbeat. Taste vary but yeah I think the CA ratings and rankings are heavily influenced by something other then taste $$$$.

I do know this for certain though, whichever cigar is #1 will go up in price immediately afterwards.

Monte#4 is good when there's no construction issues. But a slightly better than pedestrian CC IMO

I agree, had some Monte #4's in Vienna back in September they were solid cigars but for Cubans I've had better.

Epicure no2 is great though, at least the one I had in Prague. Still have one that Stinger sent me a while ago. Looking forward to smoking it down once I get a couple boxes of other things on my next trip out.

I tried to like the Epicure #2, but just doesnt do anything for me, and I do know I am in the minority....I love the Epicure Especial, and its nothing like the EP #2, its so much better IMO. I love the Monte PE too, and can be found at great price point right now

My top three CC's:

Bolivar RC
HDM Epicure Especial
Monte PE

I agree with you my friend. The Epicure No 2 is a good smoke, but there are many better ones.

I'll bet the list will exactly correspond with their "Top 25 Most Frequent Full-Page-Ad-Buying Manufacturers of 2016" list.

One man's trash is another man's treasure... and vice versa.

Just because the snooty mother effers at CA like it... doesn't mean I will. And they are PAID by cigar manufacturers to advertise. Much like the reviews here... meh.

I agree with you. To be honest, there has only been one Number 1 on their list in the past 10 years that I think deserved to be No 1 - Behike.

Ok, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt on the gran puro until I saw Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro. Totally done with the top 25 this year. It feels really scrubby for some reason now.

I gave them no such benefit...and I have not tried the RP in question....but I did notice that cigar snobs also had that blend in their top 10...for whatever that's worth

Meh...a cigar that has notes of leather, hickory, saffron, and cumin. Are you **** kidding me?!!! Reminds me of when Fat **** is describing the stink of his flatulence..."You know when you go into an apartment building and you smell the other people's cooking on each floor and you go "What are they cookin'?" That, plus crap! ".

**** CA is a goddamn joke!'

$$$$$ definitely influences it IMO. On the other side, the Epicure #2 is freekin' awesome and I love the short robusto too. Both better in my taste buds than the ones mentioned although they are good too.

Lf andalusian bull is this year's #1. What's everyones thoughts on those? I've never had one.

We should set up some type of vote and come up with our own top 10

It's 2016 folks! Why are we still talking about Cigar Aficionado? They became irrelevant about 10 years ago! fog

Those Andalusion Bulls are not worth the coin before the #1 rating. Tried one couple weeks ago I picked up in AZ and was very happy I bought a single before a box. Wouldn't have looked bought more then and sure won't now. I love most everything LFD as well but those goofy rolls like chisel and whatever you want to call the Bull(perfecto?) have not been kind to me. I am thinking they should stick to standard rolls and not mess up a good thing.

Doesn't matter what you, or any of us here think.

Whistle is going to buy them all up anyways, and not leave any for anyone else.

The LFD Reserva Especial El Jockos are small perfectos, and are really good, nats and mads...but I'm not a fan of the chisels.
