Mentioning Arby's in a cigar pitch?

I have a hard time reading a description of a cigar when the first sentence mentions Arby's. Nothing against Arby's.

you better not have anything against Arby's! I'll come get ya...

Agreed, I just don't think the first sentence of a cigar description should contain any mention of fast food. But then again, a beef and cheddar with a side of curly fries sounds good.

We have a local place here called R&D's they use real meat and a pastrami has like 3/4 of a pound on it. Arby's is good for a white trash place .

the spectre...

"Intensely unique.

Arby’s nailed it: different is good. And this new handmade from one of Nicaragua's finest cigar gurus makes just plain different seem normal. I’ll be honest, it’s kind of crazy. Sensory-overload crazy. An oily pitch-black maduro wrapper and a ‘secret’ blend of tobaccos combine to deliver a profile that’s smoky, spicy, bold, rich, and brimming with notes of cocoa, pine, leather, black pepper, honey, and oak. I can’t promise you’ll like it, but I do promise it’s unlike any cigar you’ve had before. For some fellas out there, that’s the ticket"

I guess people will believe anything.

"Gurkha is also known as the 'Rolls Royce' of cigars and is enjoyed by many of the world's elite including members of Royalty, Military, leading government officials, and celebrities."

So good they're normally sold at a 90% discount off retail.

you definitely can't compare arby's to a real deli as they don't use deli roast beef....

they're trying to start making turkey, pastrami, corned beef, and a few other types of sandwiches that I don't think will go far... they were test marketed, did poorly, and now 5 years later I see they are trying again...

I've worked with corporate Arby's from 2 aspects on 2 separate occasions... here's my very small insider knowledge on Arby's:

They have a real Professional Chef and he calls the shots... he's a stickler about quality and a real pain in the butt to work with and if he doesn't approve your product it won't be sold at Arby's...

The meat they use is a higher quality than just about any fast food restaurant, save In-N-Out... they take beef that is nearly 96% free of fat, chop it up, and do what's called a press and form, giving it the shape of a ham basically... then they slice it...

they're also one of the only people in the industry testing for salmonella, not just e.coli...

they're also freaking delicious... butt that's a matter of opinion...

Ditto. The absolute worst cigar I have ever had. I would smoke Swishers before I touch another one of these.
