Fake cuban cohiba I knew it was fake going in but it was way worse than I could've ever imagined.

Smelled like burning garbage.

Which was only slightly better than the Gran Habano Azteca Fuerte. Gran Habano 3sls has a nasty aftertaste to it that I picked up on right away and could never get past. Like musty wet socks, which I love a good barn yard smelling maduro so it wasn't that profile that I didn't like. Dunno just not for me.

Tongue One poster mentioned Arganese and it brought back bitter (literally) memories.I got one (actually a few) Arganese cigars in a bundle with other brands from CI at a "couldn't-resist" price. I lit up one of the Arganese cigars in my car on the way to work in the morning. Nice aroma and the first three puffs weren't bad. In fact, they were rather nice. The fourth puff evoked a strong taste (and smell) of ammonia. I never had such a gag reflex on any other cigar I ever smoked. It was awful. I threw it away and when I came home I threw the rest of the Arganese cigars into the garbage. The only use I can see for these cigars is for the CIA using them on terrorists to make them talk. Admittedly, this would be cruel and unusual punishment in violation of the Bill of Rights and international law under the Haig Commission.

SOSA CLASSIC MADURO GOVERNOR by Arturo Fuente (6.0"x52)

the Maduro version of this blend is lousy. No real good flavor what so ever. I am talking bland, flavorless, really lame, even after 8 months of naked humidor aging. Much worse then Macanudo Maduro. I ate the $31.00 I wasted on a Box here at Cigar Bid. If I would have paid $73 at C.I. for a 12 Box of these I would have gladly paid the postage to return them.

A beauty from Fuente. (SHOULD SAY CRAP!)
.....Sosa has seen its fair share of praise and ratings, but the Sosa Classic is without a doubt responsible for much of the limelight. Hailing from the Fuente factory in the Dominican, Sosa Classic utilizes hand-selected tobaccos all aged a minimum of 3 years. The core is composed of Dominican long-fillers secured with a Honduran binder. On the outside, awaits an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper in your choice of a dark and juicy maduro, or an oily and toothy natural. This bouquet results in a medium-bodied profile exuding a semi-sweet array of nuts, leather, and coffee delivered in chewy billows of smoke. This Fuente handmade is legit to say the least. The only hard part is having just one. But it's a good problem to have no doubt.

I'm sure it had the name Alec Bradley on it... It was part of the dreaded Worst Sampler Ever, which also had Alec Bradley's name on it.

Most disappointing cigars were the 15 or so Padron 1964s I've had over the years. Even approaching without any expectations, they sport a boring profile.

I might believe that someone smoked a bad Padron or two, but 15? Come on now. I've smoked Padrons on and off for years and have yet to encounter a bad one. That includes "boring." I've even heard rumors that Rocky Patel smokes them on the sly. The only rap I have against Padron is their price but if I could afford them; I would buy them on a regular basis. There isn't a cigar in the world that even comes close, at least in my opinion. Liar

I agree somewhat with earthson as I also am not enamored with Padron's flavor profile. They are not worth the price to me as I have other cigars I like that sell for less money.

Add Obsidian to the list. I base this on smoking only 2 cigars. Only got half -way on both. I think they are disguised Gurkhas. Shame on you

UPDATE on Obsidian: smoked the 3d one in a pack that a friend had given me. This one was much better. This time I used a standard cutter rather than a punch. It made all the difference in the world. And I thought a punch was better than a cutter. Live and learn Boo hoo!

The ones I've had have been hit or miss. Inconsistent at best.

White or black? I've had better success with the black than the white.

It's not the punch- it's the cigar. Some cigars will build up a tar deposit during smoking (Asylum 60 does this) loading the punch hole with bitter tar. It's correctable- just clip it- or smoke cigars that don't build up tar.

And, what about "Fighting C*ck?" I bought a fiver from CB some time ago to see if they were as bad as I had heard. They weren't. They were worse. Drinking a quart of brake fluid would have been tastier. OhMyGod

Lolz. The cream and leather in stp dot4 brake fluid really highlights the mild toasty blend.

I honestly cant think of the worst. maybe a bundle smoke Calle Ocho. Bought up a bunch of sub$1 cigars to send overseas to our men in the sandbox and tried a few. They weren't good, but were on par with most cheap machine mades.

I had some unbanded short filler barber poles from my brother in law, they were pretty rough. Accidentally fell into my bonfire one night.

If you think Fighting **** is bad, you should try those Calle Ochos or some of the other winners previously mentioned.

If I remember correctly, going back a few years ago, CI had Calle Ocho on a page entitled, "The Unsmokables." The others were "Free Cuba," "La Differencia," and a few others. At the time CI didn't have their other "Boutique" brands such as "Ron Mexico," "Pirates Gold," "Raj's Untimely Demise," "Dark shark," and "Fighting C*ck." fog

Carlos Torano Noventa 90. In a momentary lapse of judgment, I gave some small credence to the ad copy, “The ultra-premium Torano Noventa has been off the market for a while now. It was always intended as a one-time release, and all the cigars were supposedly sold out. But a little while back, Charlie Torano let slip that he still had some boxes remaining. I played it cool, acted indifferent, then made a half-serious low-ball offer on the whole lot. Somehow, he accepted. And now I’m passing along the savings....well over $200 off per box.”
I know I know, but I bought a box anyway & let ‘em sit. What an absolute piece of sh*t. I was incredulous at how bad this cigar tasted. I kept trying them every once in a while over a period of months, thinking “That was SO disgusting; it had to be an isolated anomaly! Surely a company with any semblance of pride wouldn’t release something this awful under the banner of a 90-Year anniversary?!” No matter how many times I tried, I could never get past the first few puffs, and then I’d angrily throw it down in disgust. These were so offensively bad. They tasted like newspaper, soaked in ammonia, then left to dry in a litter box. I finally put the rest of them, box and all, in my fire pit...even burning in a campfire they were bad.

I've been very disappointed with every Torano I have smoked, but I have smoked them all as yard gars. I haven't tried the Noventa 90 that I can remember and I haven't thrown any away, but I don't plan on buying anything with the Torano label on it. I have a Papas Fritas in the humidor after hearing good tales about them, but lately negativity seem to be in vogue on them lately.

someone posted a video here once where a guy reviewed the noventa... about half way through he chucked it and then said basically all the same stuff dpnewell said that got him whacked... basically that it wasn't even a real torano but rather a dog rocket some company banded with - for a price to the torano family - the torano name... not sure if that guy got killed too or not...

Now read the copy on the Rocky Patel R4 and buy a box. I had the same reaction with them, only they weren't nearly as good as the Noventa 90. Herfing

An Arganese something or other. Was a long time age. Don't even know why I lit it up in the first place. Tasted like composted grass clippings and smelled like a DuraFlame log.
