Thanks Paul.
That's a GREAT price on AVO's.
The Robs go for around $10 per at my local.
Wish the "Signatures" were part of that deal.

I remember reading a thread here a while ago that there was a question about the AVO's sold here, due to the differences in size between those offered here vs. elsewhere. Apparently CI/CBid has gotten a license to produce and sell cigars with the brand, but I didn't see any details about when that happened.

If anyone has bought any here recently, let us know how they compare to the ones sold elsewhere.

Well delta1, that is interesting and also news to me. But funny you should mention as I received an Avo Domaine 5er from here about a year ago, and rott it seemed muted in flavor to me compared to those I've had at b&m's in the past. Anyway, smoked another one this week and it was really no better or perhaps just a little bit but still missing that richness and depth of flavor I'd come to know. Maybe it is indeed different or maybe my tastes have changed, I dunno but now perhaps I'll try one from a b&m to see if there's really any difference. As an aside, got a The Griffin's 5er from here a year ago, too, tried it then and had the same experience. However, tried another just yesterday and it was really fantastic, so a little age treated that one well. You really just never know do you? T.

If we are thinking of the same thread, while there were some questions that still remain unanswered, I believe it was established that it is actually just a custom size for CI (and apparently others now too). I don't recall any mention of CI actually producing them, or more accurately, having them produced at a different facility in a manner similar to what is done with the Graycliff blue label.

The only age many cigars from CI get is when they are on the UPS truck.

You're right T.G. Trish just said that they have an "exclusive" on specific sizes that are not sold elsewhere. The questions about blend and production went unanswered.

Yeah, I agree, it's sketchy, although I don't think it has to be nefarious.

I remember a similar discussion about the Cult box pressed which is only found here and made by Cult exclusively for CI.

In my experience, changes in sizes makes for a difference in smoke quality, so that may be the case for the aforementioned AVO as well.
