I had my first Natural by Drew Estates (Dirt). I debated between smoking it or eating it. I never had a flavored cigar with that much sweetness in it.

Sweet because of the sugar on the cap, or just sweet in general?

The whole cigar was sweet the entire time I was smoking it. The cap is definitely sweet.
And I am not dismissing this...it was not a bad cigar. I was just not expecting it to be that sweet. I think under the right conditions it would be a nice break. You drink a sweeter liqueur after a meal. This might fall into this category. I wouldn't smoke it every day, but once in a while it might be good.

De makes naturals, yes dirt is sweet as is jucy lucy, though the pimp sticks, dark angel, and root are all very decent sticks Imo they are good sticks, the dirt torpedo is maduro wrap with sweet cap though probably not like if youvdidnt like the dirt though not near as sweet....yes I know swisher buy de though not sure why you wanna make that comparison as swisher really not "make any of the de sticks"liga line very good smokes as is the newer nirvana lines non infused though very good..alot of people like the uzi, muwat line ....a bit strong for my personal taste

This is why Swisher buying DE means something. In the past when a smaller cigar company sells to a larger one they guarantee things will remain the same but there are obvious differences. Buy a LP9 for the crazy number they get now next year and tell me they are the same is basically what everyone is saying. Swisher will not make as good a product and for the most part that is common sense. Do you think Swisher stays in business because of quality control or because of units sold. Then there is the way JD handled the outing of the sale and he is a knob of magnitude proportion. I don't spend money where I don't respect where it goes so that is that.

=d> very well said and is things I have thought as to why would they buy out ,I do think point is unfortunately dead on quanity vs quality ...as usual greed fuels that scenario most likely...thanks for the input as I appreciate understanding why people say and or think what they do at times...=d>

I can't say I have smoked many Rocky Patel cigars but of the few the only ones I have liked was the Decade and Freedom. I was not into cigars when stuff happened with Rocky Patel but from what I have read he is not reputable either. I wouldn't say that means don't buy his stuff same with DE everyone needs to make their own opinion but for me I try to support those that are selling a product because they believe in it not hyping it to make a dollar. If you like DE then go ahead and buy all the DE stuff you want same with Patel, Camacho and any other cigar brand out there that has been bought out.

With de there natural line is one that im fond of and nothing that im aware of like em,that being said I do prefer to support more honest companies, which is why I have sorta asked your opinions ...most ppl just r they suk...you took time to reply with great perspective which is much appreciated...af is my main go to sticks, short story,hemmingway,848...mainly like cameroon wrappers. NicuraguN fillers....I do af,nub. At times any suggestions would b cool though definetly like bit mild to medium stick...on occasion I soke the surrogates skull breaker, crystal ball....and a cohiba at tines though sorta pricey as with opus name things...Well again been great insight, much appreciated and any recommendations for sticks, with say cameroon wrappers ,etc mild to med..I would definitely give a try....Thanks again

Drew Estate makes Acid cigars, which appeals to noobs until they get a taste of a really good cigar, For most cigar smokers the Acid line is TOO infused; i.e., the sweetness overpowers the taste of the tobacco and it's like puffing on a lollipop or Tootsie Roll. A couple of them, such as "The Nasty" and "The Egg" are downright awful.Their other lines have many good cigars but they are way overpriced. If you have the bucks to buy them on a regular basis, I would suggest buying Padron instead.
