Anyone try one of these?
It's a mixed filler from AJ............. Ruination trimmings, and other premium leftovers....with a nice wrapper
They sound good, and I like the size.......but the mixed filler part........makes me hesitant
They are on FF....

Meh, AJ and mixed filler? No.

They turn out good budget friendly long fill cigars. Unless the price is super cheap, doubtful its worthwhile.

Would probably be a great mooch cigar if priced around a buck or so. Haven't heard of it prior to this post.

Just picked up a 10 pack on free fall. If they're half as good as the Puro Authenticos, it will be well worth it

reading the description it sounds like AJ may be emulating the process used on the Papas Fritas. I'll stick to the PAs.

they're not going to be anywhere near as good as the MoWPA......

still..............they just "look" so good...........dang copy writers and photographers....

think I'm going to pass for now......agree with danmdevries line of thinking.............. plenty of real AJ cigars can be at at this price point

Trimmings = JUNK leftovers chit dropped on the floor seconds short filler use of scraps.

I'm with you robert. PA prices might fall to what I used to snag them for. 35-37$ Pisses me off back in the day it was 32-35.

Nabbed a 10-pack for $25.28 on FreeFall. Clincher was the maduro wrapper -- MOW maduro wrappers delicious.
Where can I buy membership, other than spending $150 a month at cBid?

Yes and on multiple occasions I found "Foreign Object Debris" which per Johnny Brooke is not normal but happens now and then when you're making millions of hand made cigars.

There is no membership to join, other than being a member of this forum. These guys are a bunch of azzhats who think they're hysterical roping newbies into asking this question. With the prices as low as they get on Cbid, there is no room to offer lower prices with a membership.

Stick around. Soon, you'll be harrassing the newbies too.

I may have impulsively bought twenty of these. Had one at lunch the other day and liked it. It was medium full. I don't have a refined enough palate to pick out individual flavors. Easy retrohale and pure inhale. Then today I had a puro authentico and compared to a dark horse I was not impressed. First time for both of those... I'll have to give pa another try but really like the dark horse.

ouch!............

But, glad to hear you liked them.
Might have to give them a whirl afterall
MoWPAs can be a bit "rough" rott, or close to rott...............(especially if you're gonna inhale them)

I don't typically inhale much but as an ex cigarette smoker I can't help myself a few times a smoke. thought about it all evening and the PA was definitely bitter. Maybe now is a time to start aging... Got four more to sit on a while. I'm gonna go have another dark horse since I can't sleep...

Edit: burning it now. Sweet retrohale and finish. Really like this. Can't wait to compare to a ruination corona when my order comes in (only had one of those, but enjoyed very much). Noticed a pretty substantial vein in the wrapper (honestly don't know if that's good or bad). Even burn. Yum. Well worth the price even with short filler "scraps" to me. Although I probably wouldn't have noticed the difference without being told in the copy...

Edit2: just about finished this guy. Smoked it down to a nub. Didn't notice spice at the beginning, retrohale towards the end is spicier, but still tastes sweet. I've probably only smoke twenty five thirty cigars to taste and appreciate in the last few months but I really really do enjoy this one. It's not overly complex (thinking my fuente king b, mow armada, ab prensado as complex) but just good and enjoyable. Noob pseudo review off.

I've had the same experience with Papas Fritas more than once. Nothing like getting piece of something odd that looked like a cross between cotton candy and fiberglass insulation in your smoke. Luckily that nasty bit was visually detectable when I cut the stick and I pulled it out. Makes you think they're getting those short filler bits by sweeping the floors. Too bad because they are otherwise tasty. But for $5 a pop or more, I'd sooner smoke long filler that doesn't have mystery ingredients.

I've seen this from a few sticks as well and I'm pretty sure its from some sort of insect spinning a cocoon.

I've now landed 5 five packs. Yes 25, yes I know they're short filler or what a lot of you are calling"junk leftovers," scraps, etc. I enjoy them, as they are strong and balanced in typical AJ form, they also burn like PA's and Little Devils made with long fillers. If you can nab them up for about two and a half a piece like I did, you won't be disappointed.

Never heard of them until now. If you like short filler cigars, be my guest. A J Fernandez puts out a decent and consistant product but I don't care for chopped up fillers.

They're new so all the AJ fanboys have to get some. Give them a couple months and you'll be able to get a box for alittle more than what 10 are selling for now.

I've actually snagged up a 10-pack. They are actually quite tasty little morsels!! Cold draw of deep chocolate and baking spices, and has the signature AJ spice and earth. Definitely worth snaggin up a 10-pack, I paid $25 for the 10-pack. Totally worth every penny!!

Used to get these at 1 to 1.50 a piece... now cant get them for less than 2.50. Not a bad little short timer, but not really worth the inflated price IMHO.

I picked up a tenner awhile back and have been smoking through them , quite happily, actually . Not a powerhouse by any stretch but very tasty for the small price I paid. I would put these on the "bang-for-the-buck" list, no doubt. Your mileage may vary.
