Question about CBid holiday shipping

I have my options set for Thursday weekly shipping. Can someone tell me what will happen to weekly shipments that would normally happen on Jan 1? Will they be pushed a whole week (to the next Thurs) or just a day (to Friday)?

At the top of my screen I see a notice that says "Normal daily shipping will resume on Friday, December 26th and again on January 2nd." It doesn't say anything about weekly shipping.

And, if pushed to Friday, will the Jan 1 holiday will give us Thursday-shippers an extra bidding day?

That is to say, normally stuff won on Thurs isn't invoiced and shipped until the following Thursday morning. Does the 1-day delay mean that stuff won on Jan 1 will be shipped with the prior week's Thurs-Wed winning bids? Or will it be included in the following week's Thursday morning shipment like normal?

I won several items which would normally ship on Thurs. But due to the holiday it won't be shipped (I guess) until Friday. I'd like to get a bid in on an item ending Jan 1 but not if it won't be included in that order. Hope that makes sense.

The only other thing I can think of is to keep my shipping option on weekly-Thursday. Then, Wed night change it to "daily," win the auction Thursday night, and hope that everything is invoiced and shipped Fri? Not sure that would work if stuff is automatically invoiced Thurs morning, whether or not it's shipped that day.

Thanks!

Wunky , after your other post your shipping will be delayed until Feb. 30 or LATER unless you answer the following questions:

Waffles or Pancakes ?
Do you like walks on the beach ?
How about camping with the guys ?

For #1 - I'd have a stroke if I had to put that much thought into buying cigars.

Oh, ok, and I get weekly shipping on Thursday also. But it takes 9 to 14 days for stuff to get to me... so I really don't pay any attention to what happens after I order stuff, as long as it gets here some day. And then it's usually a nice surprise. Angel

Thanks for the thoughtful responses.

I don't plan on purchasing anything for the first part of Jan. So if I win one item on the 1st and it doesn't get shipped with the previous order, I get socked with S&H that would effectively double the price of the item I plan to bid on.

I appreciate anyone who can answer my question. Might be best to take it to customer service ;) Thanks again.

On Christmas and thanksgiving for my thursday xhipping, they cut off on Tuesday instead of Wednesday and shipped wednesday. It was posted on the website for thanksgiving but not posted for xmas. Which I didn't think about as I won auctions on 25 dec...

They cut my order prior to my weekly day which sucks because I was planning on ordering more stuff. If they delayed the cut off they would have definitely made more money off me. Their loss.

Look into Platinum Expedited shipping, order code "La Princessa".
The best deal around here.......like only $1.50 extra per package, and you get your stuff in 72 hours, regardless of holidays.

The time framed for the orders is not being changed, just the day of shipping so the shipping dept. can have both holidays off work.

Well, the time frame would have to be changed as well. Because bids won Wed night are usually included in the orders for Thursday shippers. But if they're shipping on Wed what would normally be shipped on Thurs, then they necessarily have to leave off anything won Wed night.

Basically it seems that it cuts a day off the total included bidding days if your shipping day falls on a holiday. It would also likely have to add a day to the next order. Unless they just ship EVERYTHING won on Jan 1 on Jan 2 no matter what peoples' selected shipping days are.

With being a weekly Thursday processor, and the holidays falling on Thursday; we are processing on Wednesday instead because we have to cut it off somewhere.

PM me and I will assist you further.

So Wednesday December 31 wins will go with Thursday Jan.1 thru Wednesday, January 7 wins and be processed on Thursday, January 8 ?

IIRC, you told me you'll be here daily to deliver my AM smoke regardless of the holiday.
