Local has Anejo 48's (a whole box when I bought on sunday night) after tax comes to $15/ea.

Given that they are harder to find, do they warrant a $15 tag in your opinion?

It's a little high, not too bad. I think MSRP on those is around $11 now. Your state taxes could be high too.

So, for about 1-3, maybe even 5 of them, deal. It's about the same as what you would pay buying from an out of state shop at or near MSRP and having them ship.

For a box, no deal.

I picked up two. California taxes suck. I was just really surprised to see them at this particular shpo as its more bong and cigarettes than cigars. Definitely not a lounge style.

Deal. State taxes kill prices, and considering they aren't a-hole gouging them 15 a cigar is good. If you like Fuente cigars they're definitely worth getting when you can find them. If they gave any more you're going to want to grab a few more, after you've smoked those you're going to want a few more.

TG is pretty much on the money with what he said. I think they're $11.25 at my shpo. Unfortunately I don't think bossman would appreciate me buying up rare stock with an employee discount, but I tried one.... I would say they're worth getting a couple to have around even if you pay a couple extra bucks, but not a box for that price.

Too much a box can be had for $225. If you just want a single here and there I guess its wort it but for a larger purchase under $10 a piece is available often.

Yes $225/box with free shipping. Available all year long and every once in a while they go on Flash Sale for around $200.

This seems to be the same in my area. Cigar shops selling more bongs, cigarettes, and crack pipes, than cigars.

Over saturated market. Too many people feel they can open a cigar shop because they love cigars and want to profit.

As for the Anejos, there are always deals these days.....keep calm, smoke, and search.....I went to the Tampa Sweethearts retail store in Tampa and I bought ten and the gave me 10% off their retail price which is less than what you are paying....happy not to live in CA.....peace!

I've bought them for 11 and change also. But sometimes the shpos will limit loose purchases to three.

Didn't we have a discussion of shpos having to sign an agreement not to sell below a set price on AF's ?

Lol I wish! Unfortunately since I'm a Miltech, I can't partake in "the other other leaf" for quite a while.

However, my wife does work in Berkeley.
