Been watching these on FF. They get good enough reviews on CI but I couldn't find much online. These aren't the Cameroon wrappers.

Like to know a little but more about them before I buy, even if it seems like a good deal. Some Rocky Patel stuff has left me thinking "I paid how much for this?" Think

Did you like the decade?

Thanks Herfing

I do like the Decade, it's a great smoke if you can get them for around $5 a piece. I scooped up the Oliva G series 5er and RP Decade 5er sampler on Cbid for about $30.00 total. 10 cigars for about $3 a piece, not a bad deal. I recommend them.

Honestly, I've been having trust issues with rocky patel lately. Had one explode on me and I've never been the same since.

The Decade Limitada is probably the only RP I would smoke and that's not often

Last one I had was from 2011. Think it was a Sumatra wrapper back then. Remember it being pretty good. No idea what the current ones are like.

Yeah that's kind of what worried me none of the reviews were very current.

Haha this reminds me of a joke.

A German Airline pilot is sitting on the taxiway getting ready to take off. He speaks in German and the air traffic controller promptly replies back to him that he will have to speak in English. The German pilot replies I'm sitting in a German aircraft at a German airport why do I have to speak English? There's a long silence on the radio and then finally with a strong British accent comes a reply "because you lost the bloody war!!!"

Over the years, Rocky's best cigars have changed with time. A Vintage 1990 bought now, is not the same as one bought say, 8 years ago. Many of Rocky's creations have construction issues and I know cigar retailers who refuse to handle his brand. Having said that, if you get a good one, it is really good; but that's a big if.

Passed on the decades. Got a fiver of muwat night crawlers and Padron delicias maduros. Also got a hygroset hygrometer for my new cooler.

Rocky Patells are like Gurkas to me - to friggin many "different" kinds that all seem remarkably similar, some of them are very close to the same cigar with different badging & boxes.

Totally agree with this. I learned the hard way in the past. I do however like some of the RP's like the Decade, Vintage 1990 and 1999.
