If you mean the cellophane sleeves, no. Not a problem. If anything they might have helped the cigars sustain less damage over the years of neglect. Only smoking them will tell if they are worth anything or have lost all their flavor.
Mold is unlikely based on your description of how they have been stored. Mold is obvious, very easy to spot. It doesn't look any different on a cigar than mold on cheese, bread, a tomato, an orange rind etc. The colors can vary but the overall look is the same.
