Herfing Wow, what a cigar. This one just blew me away. This is far superior to a Cuban Cohiba I smoked years ago. I never smoked a stick this good in my life.

The Ave Maria's I have tried did have a very good flavor........Didn't know they made a lancey.HMMMMM

Your Cuban Cohiba may have been in its sick period or even fake.......I'd try another.

I'm with you, even had a few Tempus maddies that were good..........but too many refused to burn.....so I gave up.
But the Prensado being the cigar of the year a few years back? Laughable........

True...........I had not even tried a Prensado til that #1 status hit them.I guess it worked I bought a few, think I may still have a handful buried.Just never could figure out how the hell they got ranked in the top 10......much less #1.

Hey Q...........where did you find Ave Maria lanceros?
Like Whistlebritches noted, I've never heard of, nor seen one.

Google, 20 different cigar sites, and 15 different hack review sites. This is the only reference to an ave Maria lancero on the internet that I can find. Are you sure it wasn't a Churchill?

Never saw a lancero. Used to be a brand I'd keep in my underbidding rotation when I was still buying. Been a good while since I've looked though

Maybe you're just joking. I don't believe I bought ALL of them, but a nice score nonetheless. Like I said, too many of you just ASSUME there are no more good buys just because your favs aren't there. Flapper

It was long for a Lancero, so I assume it could be called a Churchill, but it was definitely a Lancero, about 6 x 42.

I'd be more apt to call that a lonsdale vitola?

The best thing about Ave Maria is the Templar Knight on the oversized band. It's a very cool looking band and as an infidel I have a shirt with a large red Templar cross on the chest.

Q -check your packing list or go to your online history to see what they list the cigar as. I haven't seen any mention of an Immaculata lonsdale or lancero anywhere but this thread.

That cigar was born here......................and will live on in infamy.
Whenever we speak of long lost favorites, or of rumored releases, we'll think of the elusive Ave Maria Lancero.

It transcends money, space, and time.

We may need a new transcendent PIB.

You must received a really good one. The bellicosos that I have smoked were just airballs.

No worries Q.
Heck, now that I think of it, maybe they SHOULD make a Lancero.
Might help with the "air ball" factor which seems to afflict too many Ave Marias.

I am still enjoying this one. I have had a few minor issues with a couple of the sticks, but overall I would give this an 8 or even possibly a 9 out of 10. I gave one to a friend who has a much more refined taste than I do. I will post whatever he says about it, good or bad. He smokes mostly Illusiones or Fuentes.

My friend got back to me. His "go-to" cigars are Fuentes and he said that the Ave Maria was right up there with them. Just saying. Herfing
