I talked to Howard the other day. Surgery went well with no complications.
Alec should be home by now.
He said he will post an update when things settle down.
Personally, I would like to thank you all.
Howard is a good friend and your prayers and concern for Alec meant a lot to him.

Just to reiterate what John said, Alec is doing well, he is still in ICU, only because his sodium levels arent consistent. Just to let you all know, Alec had a tumor in his petuatary gland, it was benign, but still scary. that gland controls all your bodies hormones, hence the sodium issue. I want to thank John for letting you guys know Alec's status, and as I have said a few times, thank you sooo very much for all your prayers, it did mean the world to me, as John stated. We are hoping that today might be the day he goes home, depending on his test results last night. He needs to go home, it has been so much for him...

Thanks for the update. So glad it was benign. What a relief. Let the Drs do their work but make sure he follows through with their plan.

I am glad to hear that he is doing well. Go Blue Hens! I spent my freshman and sophomore years at U of D. Those were Fantastic years! Summer days on the beach at Rehoboth were nice and nights at the "Bottle & Cork" were nicer!

I will respectfully disagree that the Delaware beaches suck. I had a lot of fun there and have great memories of crazy times with my college buddies. I was fortunate to have lived at the Jersey Shore from 4th grade(1975) through freshman year of college(1984). I spent every summer fishing with my dad, eyeballing every girl on the beach and making my mother nervous while I skimmed across the beach on my skimboard. I loved every minute of everyday being a complete beach bum!!! It was a sad day when my dad lost his job with Prudential and my parents moved to PA. Those were the days my friends, I wish they never ended but I am eternally grateful that I had them.

Moonie . . .
I was talking about the BEACHES (literally), as in the SAND . . . NOT the "Beach Towns".
Delaware beaches have nasty, course, yellow, gritty sand, kinda like commercial sandbox sand.
Jersey beaches have soft, fine, white sand. NO COMPARISON !

Delaware Beach TOWNS . . . now THAT's a different story.
I dated a girl from Delaware for three years back in my early twenties, and we had MANY a wild time in Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach.
