I recognize that trick photography anywhere! All hunters and fishermen learn how to make it look bigger.

Still a nice buck though.

Hehe..

#4- LOL! Fortunately, I didn't have to 'make' it look bigger. 21 1/2" INSIDE spread. 27 5/8" main beam with heavy palmation on both sides.

Just busting your chops FGM, it's a helluva nice buck! Huge spread!

Do you ever have any mounted? European style? Standard head mount? Rack only?

Hey Bro.,

What the heck does "scored 165 2/8" mean?
(I've gone bird hunting a few times, but that's it, so I have no idea what any of these deer hunting terms mean)

Is that kind like what the sneak mounts used to look like. I kind of liked those with the head out and the ears back. That's two big bucks I have seen you post here so far. If you have an issue with freezer room my offer to tend to the back straps and lions is still good. ;)

TG~Google 'boone and crockett scoring'.

It's a scoring system to determine the size of a rack. They measure inside spread, beam length, length of G2's G3's...etc. diameter and so on. All of this is added up to determine the 'score'.

When I said 165 2/8, that is total number of inches.

FGM,

(BBD Big Buck Down!) That is amazing. Where in this country do you live? Here in NJ we get some nice shooters but nothing like that. I hunt with a bow and I would shake to the core if something with that score walked by my stand. Congrats Bro on a deer of a lifetime.

i'm not a hunter so i don't know the answer.

if the hunt is for meat and to thin the herd, why is the size of the antlers important?

Atta Boy!!!!

I can't wait to hear the story over a nice smoke. I might even hook you up with one from ISOM.

I was working on posting a pic of the 7 point I killed Christmas Eve morning, but I think I'll hold off now.

Eveyone seems to think that we grow lots of deer like that in the SIP. I don't want to disappoint anyone.

Guys, I can tell you that this is a product of a very strick, buck management program that FGM has. Glad to see all the hard work and decipline has paid off.

WTF! I just saw this, better late than never.

NICE................................hat!

That is close enough to a tirty pointer any day. Good Huntin FGM. I live inside an area of about 2000+ acres (combined landowners) of Deer Management and it has started producing a real nice herd of deer. Unfortunetly our season ended yesterday. 9 months till it starts all over again.
