I got a smallish doe earlier in the season.

Ground hunted with a turkey blind. Had a little doe walk up on to about ten yards. She was giving me the eyeball and stomping her feet so I finally stomped back and she took off. Four turkeys came across my fining lane. Walked up on two doe on the way to the truck after dark.

Unfortunately, all were out of season. I saw another doe last Friday at another wildlife management area. Doe season in Florida is one week and this wasn't it! In fact, this was the tail end of gun season. Tough times.

Damn nice buck! It takes one hell of an 8 to make 160s, that is very impressive. 27 inch mains is incredible too! Congrats.

^+1, I have an eight that goes 139 3/4, which is really a nice 8, but not as nice as your buck.

Mine is about as tall as yours is wide. My 8 was only 17 3/4 wide but G2's were 12 and 13 respectively. Main's were 21 and 22 with good mass. Only took me 35 plus years to bag one of this size.

But it was worth every day in the woods!
