This issue about the FREAK who wants her health insurance to pay for a sex change operation SHOULD be a non-issue. How DARE she expect insurance to pay for this. I really don't care if she or any other FREAK cut or maim their own bodies, but to expect isurance to pay for it is insane! Just like insurance should not cover a nose-job or tummy tuck, it CAN'T be used for such idiocricy (is that a word?). This is not about homophobia. It's about sanity.

Yes tailgater, most people who have any sense whatsoever would agree with you! But not the California ACLU and the Gay/Lesbians Movement! You are just another person who wants to discriminate against the poor unfortunate Gays & Lesbians! That is just one of the Circus Act movements that we have to put up with in Calfornia. And then there is the anti smoking group that wrankles me even more than this other ridiculous issue!

Actually from what I understand from the original article I read in my local paper.There are quite a few of these trans gender public employees in San Francisco that have asked the city to pay for their opperations and the city has agreed.Up to something like $40,000.00."This is very much a civil rights issue," said SF Supervisor Mark Leno. "This is about equal benefits for equal work." WHAT THE F$@#@K kind of civil rights issue is this Supervisor talking about.I'm afraid Gater that Ridiculous is toooo light a word,outreageous,criminal I can't beleive the citizens will put up with this,but it is SF.

JJ even though we have our share of nuts, gays, transvestites or whatevers in Sou Cal, SF has the corner on the whacko's, and they even have a majority of them in Government jobs! Just look at our two outstanding US Senators from California! Both seem to represent the Whako's and nuts quite well.

Be VERY afraid! It may be San Fran for now, but others will soon follow. The problem is that this isn't about their sexual preference. It's about ELECTIVE surgury, no matter how you cut it (pun intended)... These sub-species don't deserve a respectable job, nevermind insurance for their personal issues. On the bright side, once we allow this insanity we can't possibly go any lower.. Unless your name is Clinton.
