Deliciously formed with an almost perfect wrapper. Smooth and creamy with a hint of musk. Surprisingly tight draw at the start, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. A pleasure to hold and savor, with a very pleasant aroma. Slowly escalates in intensity and packs a very powerful finish.

Yes, this one has kept me a little longer in this place than I had hoped to be......what a sweetie. No cello by the way......in regards to the "fairy" slippers, those are $600 Prada driving shoes.....probably means nothing to some folks, but the chicks sure dig them, and since I look so good in them....why not?

Ad...looks like you've got a Breitling on too!

I have the similar band on a Blackbird. That thing has seen the world and still keeps time!

No cello...funny!

Those shoes look just like the ones my grandma wears. I think she wears them to drive as well. Ah velcro shoes... a throwback to the 80's.

Can't wait to see the next picture you post. Perhaps a Ralph Lauren mesh shirt? LOL j/k

I only kid because I am jealous... :)

I don't know about "snake skin socks" & "velcro shoes/fairy slippers" comments...LOL...because you definitely look like a trendy fellow---just ignore us rednecks.

However, you are also beginning to look a little "Foomanchooish" around the eyes and with that unfinished goatee/tickler.

Sorry man I have to agree with mydsooner about the shoes. I do not care if they are $600 Pradas or cheap $20 knock offs, they are still ugly as hell.

Adroomi, don't let 'em get to you. You're "avant garde" that's all.

I suspect that the Rodney Daingerfield casual line is hot among some of the posters. Then they top it off an Elmer Fudd cap and Lebron James' shoes.

The spirit of HeeHaw's Junior Samples lives on.

Just don't forget the eye exercises and to get your shoes calibrated once a year. You'll be fine.

Yes, it's easy to see that there are quite a few "new" players on this board. Many of them aren't quite as old as they think they are, and they have a real bad habit of letting everything that slips out of their mouth sound insulting. That's too bad. What is this about Korea and the women there that someone mentioned above? Did it ever occur to you, that there are a few other countries in Asia besides Korea.....and that not all Asian women are only interested in young GI's with Levi's, a T-shirt, and a baseball hat on? For the record, I don't live there. You were in Korea twice and met a lot of "bar girls" I'm assuming by your tone in your message. So what? Did you bother to leave the security and sanctity of your little "safe haven" near the front gate, or did you spend your entire tour spending all your cash on the bar girls (and still not getting any)? My friend, have you ever been to Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, Laos, Vietnam, India or Sri Lanka? Those are my "general" hangouts these days, although I spend a great deal of time in the rest of Asia. The girls there do dig my shoes (some of them). More so, I dig my shoes (that was the point). Besides, why did my shoes become such a major focus in this thread anyway? The picture was posted for a few certain "old timers" that got onto me for not posting for a while. The point was the girl, not the shoes. Of course, if you're too worried about the shoes and whether or not I used protection or whatever the case may be, you are totally losing the point. I'm not surprised at all. We had a good little board here for quite a few years, now we've got a big board, with twice as many "new" cigar smokers, that are slowly but surely turning it into a really crappy place to visit. Hint to all, post a few pics, tell a few jokes, respect all, and if you can't handle that, go back to your room and watch MTV.

and PS.....the thread title is "Partagas 898 Cabinet Sel Gran Cor. A Review!" It was a great cigar as well. Not too much into Cuban Partagas' (they taste too much like Dom. ones, but this one was nice. that was just a PS.

When in Rome, do as the Romans........When I'm visiting the folks in the midwest, I can usually be found in some jeans with a Ted Nugent T-Shirt under my flannel button down. Perhaps a pair of Nike cross trainers or some hiking boots by Timberland on my feet. That attire wouldn't go over very well where I'm hanging out as I type this, it says "AMERICAN" all over it, that's not a good thing. With an accent and Italian shoes, I'm less "obvious" where that photo was taken. Some of you folks from a while back will remember that I have a tendency to dress in Southeastern Asian clothing at times......guess where I am when those photos are taken? It's all a matter of perception and location my friends. The shoes are a bit much, but they look good and fit in very well where that photo was taken. I don't think I'd wear them on my dad's farm though. As I said, when in Rome......be cool gang, and thanks for the comments. 'Droomi.

Adroomi, I liked your posts AND I liked your style... (not that I would imitate it).

However, I'm sorry that the new additions to this forum are turning it "crappy" for you.

Maybe, we need more sanctimonious, blow-hards who can pontificate endlessly on the best cigars, best politicians, latest bowel movements, etc.

Yeah, that sounds nice--can't wait.

Lighten up. Most of us enjoy you.

Hey Adroomi, I enjoy your posts, too. I started the shoe thing but I'm not apologizing for it. It was intended as a "rib" as is common among guys. I suspect I would take some ribbing were I to wear them.
As to your suggestions about lack of experience, you may be surprised. I'm 50 yrs. old and did 2 tours in Asia spending time in Thailand, Viet-Nam, Laos and Cambodia. I am a State Dept. trained and certified interpreter in Laotian and Thai. I've had my "ass in the grass" and in embassy dining rooms.
I may be new to you, but I've probably been participating here for more than 2 years.
Others may be kids or 4 star generals, who knows? The depth of experience here can be astounding at times.
I'd ask you not to be offended, but it's too late for that. Most of us can take as well as dish, so serve it on up.

adroomi, you need to lighten up and learn to take a joke. I do not undersatnd how you are going to post a picture and not expect at least one person to make some kind of lude or crude comment about it, whether it be something you are wearing or what ever they may comment on. If I were to post a picture I would expect all kinds of comments, good and bad. So why don't you calm down a little by having a drink and one of your fine cigars.

P.S. Those shoes are still ugly.LOL

Funny thing...when i opened this picture and saw the shoes, i thought...those are some awesome shoes. And then i read all of the posts and bashing...wow.
I'm gonna have to go with droomi...those shoes are awesome. He's just really on top of what is currently in style. Open up a male fashion magazine like GQ, Stuff, and even Maxim, and you'll see tons of shoes like these. Heck, i had a pair of Diesel's that looked simmilar. But to each his own.
Party 898's seem to always be tight. I'm more of a fan of the Partagas shorts...mmmmm

Wow! Adroomi came after me alittle. That's ok.

It's funny when i mention to anyone that i spent time in korea, the first thing they think is i spent money on hookers. Never did,nor did i want to. I found that there are plenty of American service women to be with.

You have to admit that the places you take these pictures are not your "upper end " type bars.

No i have not been to any of the countries you mentioned, nor do i want to. But I have talked to people who have been and they dont want to have to go back to those sess pools either. If thats your thing then thats fine.

Just dont post a pic of yourself in a bar with a YOUNG aisan women, while wearing some god awful looking shoes. And then try to defend them by telling us that you paid $600 for them so that makes them ok. Besides you might want to be more careful because they look alittle dirty on the toe. PEACE!

Cool shoes adroomi. Any style is better than no style. Also people with style don't put down an other persons style, if they don't like it, they respect it because it's not theirs.

The sleazy bar is a friend of mine's...it's his little hideaway, not too sleazy in fact. He runs a good bar. The girl is a member of the cabin crew with Singapore Airlines.....she's a sweet kid, and bought me some nice cigars. Sitting here in the Red Carpet Club Lounge at Los Angeles International waiting on a flight to Chicago.....amused with the TSA folks. They opened my carry-on and confiscated my torch lighter, but paid no attention to the 4 boxes of Cubans. Anybody care for a smoke?
