doesn't anyone have any idea to start a political thread. lets try this real example. bush should be going to all these important meetings with heads of state, wearing plaid shorts, brown shoes with laces over argyle socks, a tee shirt that says, my parents went to ***** and all i got was this crumby tee shirt. and a video camera. he is the ugly american.

sorry charlie i didn't mean to extend your reach. just try to picture the resident as the uninformed schmuck tourist that he is, not as the informed representative of our country he is supposed to be. does the phrase "country bumpkin" refresh your memory.

I'll take this "country bumpkin" over the alternative. That Tree Hugging Hypocritical Socialist Gore any day.If you can't tell I'm being extremely kind with my definition of Gore.

JJ you are correct sir! The "bumpkin" is 1000% better
then the sore loser and his mentor.

i agree gore was and is a dodo. comparing w to him is like mcdonalds to burger king. there are better places to eat a hamburger. there must be someone out there with an iq above 91 to run this country.

You seem angry Rick. Truth is, the race came down to Dubya and Gore. Take your pick. Would you have been happier with Tippers Husband?

irritated. i rarely get angered. bp 120/78. i would have preferred if those were my only choices. i voted for nadar. bush is taking us down a dangerous path. russia has just tested a missle. bush commands no respect outside this country and not much more inside. it's not w, it's the advisors that his father has selected. do you really think he has any idea what is going on? he got shoved into a place where he is not comfortable. he has more pressure on him than he is capable of handling. he has 2 dysfunctional daughters that he can't deal with. he could easily crack.

What's so dysfunctional about a couple of underage college students using fake IDs to get drunk with...I did it when I was their age. But i wasn't the Prez's kid so I didn't get the news media barrage that they get. As for W he is our leader for 4 years...depending on who ya are that is good or bad. I am just surprised noone has tried to assasinate him yet.

Dubya knew the pressures that go along with the position better than most. Don't forget who his daddy was. As for his respect outside of this country, don't listen to the LIBERAL media for that kind of information. Bush does have his foreign distractors, but he is well respected in the politico circles. Much of Europe and beyond simply don't like America for nuberous reasons, some founded some not. I don't mind a little disdain, but a constant barage of unfounded criticisms makes you sound childish at times. Pick a subject matter and be specific. Claiming that he's "dumb" or has problem children is the mental equivalent of calling someone a poo-poo head. I expect more from you, Rick. You poo-poo head...

Hey how's the economy since W's been president. Clinton who you bash so regularly, had some of the best economic numbers this country has seen in years. Granted he may not be a role model, but he didn't drop the stock market into the toilet, he didn't have escalating unemployment and he did a damn good job of finding pretty ugly women to have extra marital sex with. It's hard to deny the economic numbers

Do we need to remind those who forget that the President is not the person who can take credit for those numbers...Alan Greenspan is the man...I think things will get even better

I think greenspans proven that the economy has passed his influence. Droping interest rates seems to be having an adverse effect on the economy. No longer does the economy hang on his every spoken word.

Do you think that the economy is seperate from the energy crisis? When was our last economic hardship? It was during the 70's when Gas prices soared and supply became limited. Well, look what we have now: another energy "crisis" which has devastated consumer confidence. And who is to blame for the energy crisis? Is it the new guy in office, or could it perhaps be more closely related to the LAST guy who didn't put systems in place to boost reserves or incentives to increase output. Instead, his administration toyed with threats of price controls, etc, which stymied any potential for growth. Bush walked into the dining room with the table set, and all the dishes are dirty. Now he has to clean up before he can cook, and whose fault is it? Wake up.

As for the economic numbers how can we compare 8 years of numbers for Slick Willie to less than a year of Dubya. It takes more than just a Pres to make or break this great Country. Todd
