What cigar to go with Guinness Draught?

My friend gave me a couple of bottles of some Guinness Draught and I was wondering what cigars of mine would go good with it? I have a cu-avanna, cuba libre, tierra del sol and a flor de oliva.

None of the above...
AB Tempus Terra Nova
Tatuaje Gran Cojonu
Cohiba maduro Secreto
Gurkha Titan
Camacho 10th 11/18
Padilla Miami Torp
Any of these would hold up to the Guiness and compliment the body and flavor. If you want to go milder on the smoke.. try the Guinness with a wee top of Harp or Courage...to soften the flavor a bit.

I'm very new to the combining of cigars and beers/alcohol.

MMMMM Guinness.
Skipper is right, and i'm sure hes gotcha covered.
the Padilla Miami and the Tat are definately good ones
However you could always just buy more Guinness to wash the taste out.

I find that rich, chocolatey flavors complement Guinness better than contrasting flavors. Whenever I have a Guinness, whether it''s Extra Stout or Draught, I tend to lean towards my favorite maduros....

CAO ''VR''
5 Vegas Series ''A''
601 Serie Blue BP Maduro
Carlos Torano Signature Collection
Rocky Patel I-Press
Hoyo Excalibur Prensado Oscuro

Just about anything maduro from med to full bodied. If you end up liking it from the bottle, try the can or on draft.. whole different animal. To me out of the bottle, it seems like Guinness Light!

I prefer Murphy's Irish Stout over Guiness, but definitely a maduro. 5 Vegas "A" sounds like a good pairing.

I second the Murphy's, Guinness tastes like watery coffee.

^slap yo mouf, Guinness is Mother's Milk!! I drink it all the time, draught bottles only. Excellent stuff.

I agree with those who say that it needs a fuller bodied cigar to go with it, though. Not neccesarrily a maduro, just something with a little "oomph". A nice La Gloria Wavell works very well for me.

Guinness is for posers who think they are drinking good beer, kinda like heineken, corona, or shiner bock. Guinness is to real beer as Baccarrat is to Ashton VSG. Sorry folks, guinness is one of the most flavorless beers ive had. Try a good porter or any other stout and you will see what I mean.

Hoyo, don't drink the souts out of a bottle. The Nitrogen can is the best way to go if you aren't getting it off the tap. Guinness has them, but you should definitely try Murphy's from the N2 can.

Great, a guy who drinks a stout from the bottle is telling me what good beer is... You want some lime with that beer? ugh.

Take your meds and stop trashin people who happen to like something that you don't. Just because someone drinks guinness does not make them a poser! Sheessh!
Giving your opinion is fine, but avoid the flame... or keep it to yourself. And have another porter with your lithium....

jesus....you guys ever even SEE Guinness in the Draught bottles? Says right on the side it was MADE to be drunk from the bottle. The stuff in cans is not as good, IMO. Nor is the crap in the smaller bottle they call Extra Stout.

I've been drinking beer from all over the world and making my own for probably longer than many of you guys have been on the planet. I think I know what I like. You like something else better? Great! Drink as much as you like!

Telling someone they don't know anything about something because they don't like the same thing as you do is.....well, pretty typical behavior around here, I guess.

Enjoy yourselves. Maybe grow up someday too.

Irish friends of mine, who drank Guinness for years in Irish pubs, tell me that most of the mystique is "yankee fantasy" and that the stuff in the draught bottles is almost as good. Almost.

I've heard quite the opposite from Irish guys, but they were heavily drunk at the time.

I can say firsthand that the Guinness in Ireland is better tasting then the Guinness here. Spent a week in Ireland and went to the Guinness factory. The Guinness here in the states has a slight bitter taste to it. Irelands is smooth and creamy. Just the same for Heineken here it has a skunky scent to it, and over there none. The only way to drink Guinness here is to drink it out of a keg probably the closest of the three. Smithwicks to me here is better than the Guinness. My favorite would have to be a good german Bock.

just my $.02

Now, now, you guys. Guinness Draught is a great beer. Almost as good as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I'd say almost any med-full bodies cigar that is not infused with anything would go great with it.
