Well, Gen. Norman Schwarzkoff isn’t the only one who understands "shock and awe". I have been walking around in a daze all day just trying to decide what hit me. The contents of the EPIC SLIM SLAP are:

5 Tatuaje VI
5 Alec Bradley Tempus
5 La Aurora 100 Anos
5 Ramon Allones
5 Litto Gomez Chizel
5 Montrcristo Maduro
5 Pueblo Dominicana Series 1
5 Five Vegas Relic
5 Cusano Habano LX1
6 Rocky Patel OSG
5 Argenese Cameroon
5 El Triufador Lancero
5 Alec Bradley 1997 Harvest Select
5 Argenese Nicaraguan
1 Box Centro Fino Sungrown Sampler (4)
1 Box Pepin’s My Father Sampler (6)

Every cigar except the lanceros are large ring gauge, figurados, belicosos, etc. Was that all? Not exactly.

1 Blair’s After Death Hot Sauce
1 Blair’s Ultra Death Hot Sauce

Finished now? No.

A beautiful National Geographic Cronograph watch with separate second and minute dials mounted with a black sports band.
An extra deluxe rubber sports band by de Beers.

Anything else? Yes.

Slim included for Laura (Mrs DED) a brilliant set of Champagne Quartz pierced earrings, quantum cut, about 5 ctw with white gold studs.

Slim is legendary for this kind of whoopin’ but no way was I readyfor it. Slim, you are a madman and one class act sir!

In the words of another famous general: "I shall return"............................... someday.

DED ... actually ... the National Geographic Men's Pioneer Series Deep Blue Watch (NG710GSSS) came with the Polyurethane band that you found in the deBeer case.

I thought that the tacky 'rubber' band that came with the divers watch would get a little too uncomfortable to wear in your 'hot' Arizona climate ... so I switched it out with the Genuine 'Stingray' Watch Band I found at deBeer. It will 'breath' a lot easier ...

Oh ... and the watch ??? It's been 'retired' by NG ... so they are fairly hard to find these days and pretty much a 'one of a kind' timepiece. BTW ... all NG watches are 'field tested' by their explorers and photographers. I sent one to 8track (in gold tone) a few months back, and I wear the exact same one I sent you as my daily watch. I just love it ...

I hope Laura liked the Champagne Quartz earrings ... I set them myself.

They say that the quartz crystal carries the energy of all the elements – Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Ether (Quintessence) in musical form.

If you sit very still and hold it in your receptive hand (usually the left hand), you can hear its song which is the song of the Earth. And through this you can begin to hear your own song, which is an essential part of the whole. It enables you to hear this even within the cacophony of modern life.

DAYUM!!!!!!

There are RAOKs and then there is this...The SLIMSLAP. Once again a fine display of classiness by the LOD!

DED; I can say that the After Death sauce is great, the "burn" from the heat is the intense that it goes beyond the pain and back into pleasure. But I, a lover of the hottest hot sauces, am afraid to even open the Ultra Death sauce.

DED ... the Ramon Allones 'Brioso' are at least 10 years old (or more). Check out the cello on 'em. They are the 'orginal' blend that has been discontinued for the 'revamped' verson will find that is offered now.

The RP OSG are the original blend as well (discontinued).

Oh ... and the Montecristo is the Media Noche no. 3.

Homina-homina-homina. I'm still stuttering around the house.

Laura is already out shopping for something new to go with the earrings. She loves them. The watch is friggin' fantastic. Actually, due to the hot weather my old favorite watch had a rubber band. Not the best looking but I have ruined quite a few leather bands from sweat.

I noticed the dark cello on those RA right off. One is going up in smoke this afternoon. And the hot sauce (small amount) went great with an egg scramble this morning.

In keeping with my policy of NEVER re-gifting a cigar and since slim just overloaded all my humis, I am going to pull out about 4 boxes of my stash and package them for the troops to make room. These will be donated in slim's honor. Seems like a good time to do this anyway being that it is Memorial Day weekend.

After that I start the arduous task of smoking every last one of those cigars slim sent.

I think you are right about making a donation to the troops this weekend. Thanks for a great idea!

DED ... I'm honored.

... and don't worry about ruining the 'Stingray' band. It has some sort of 'special' sueded nubuck lining on the back that is made to be moisture resistant (or so they state).

Memorial Day
La Aurora 100 Anos went up in a smoke salute this morning to those who have given all. Now it's time to grill some steaks thanks to slim!
