#104 You would have been a huge asset for the greatest generation. With ideas like that you could have helped in the concentration camps. Torture is so funny.

Is this an immediate attempt to get out from under the most tasteless comment I have ever seen posted here?

I assure you, and if you read my post you'll see I have no issues with the concept of sarcasm. I do have a hard time with arrogance and chicken hawks making light of torture. Very creative idea you had there though. To have thought of it is real sick and to post it in the manner you did is repulsive.

dnester612 if you could get over your bad self for awhile and read more of my posts you would realize that I am against torture, think Bush sucks butt, and have been very vocal about it. No chicken hawk here.

It was pure sarcasm and even if it wasn't I am sure you would get over it. Relax man.... stick around. This does not even approach the dumbest thing I have or will say.

But you are all wet.... probably with carbonated pork broth

Pork Soda is an awsome album

honestly it is fun to see someone come in so indignant that has no idea what is going on. Context is everything.

Yes, dnester, this forum is not for the faint of heart, no matter what your political leanings. I'm reminded of the line from Casablanca...."I'm shocked, shocked that gambling is going on in here!"

Glad to hear you were not serious and that you are on the level when it comes to torture and the shrub. I read the whole thread and that comment just set me off. The right wing's policy of torture and America's recent embrace of torture is pretty high on my list of annoyances. Sorry to chastize.

P.S. I thought your potts joke on the other thread was funny.

Why in the frack did I ask you to top this...??

Wow. Even one year, changes things.

I was pretty freshly retired then, but still - just a little high strung.

Glad I can laugh now. Holy crappola, funny thread.

^out of all the marines i have met, you are the most laid-back i would say.........but then again, compared to that hot wife of yours, one could say musselini was laid back. (of course i am joking...)

soooo, any plans to come back for a visit? i got a tatami room and futon with YOUR name on them...and i am sure you can find a local lady with questionable ethics...

Brian,

No immediate plans, but if after a few more years here in Tampa, I might do a stint in Iwakuni if there is something available. My "contract" with the FAA is 5 years, but I can leave after 2 (I got a $$ bonus).

Funny thing about you saying, I am laid back. I was pretty laid back as a Marine until you did something wrong.

When I was at the FAA school in November one of my classmates was a former Navy Controller, and based on his service dates he was one of my students in ATC school. Well, I obviously look different with "long" hair, and some chin music going on. He didn't recognize me, nor I him. So I took out my license and showed him my picture. I **** you not, this grown man turned pale and had to sit down after he saw my picture. All he could say was, "you were Gunny ******". He never had to come see me (as a young Sailor), but he was terrified to have to, and never got in trouble. I actually felt a little bad.... for a minute.

You only seen the nice side I guess, but I never had a Marine I yelled at, counseled or whatever, NOT come back years later and thank me for schooling them - weird right.

Now, I am just laid back. Happy to work my 8hrs, go home and not be in charge of anybody.

I do hope to visit again, and I will bring the fine ass wife with me!!

gringococolo in all honesty, deep down in I never took issue with anythijng you said, I just didn't take it all that seriously. That is not a reflection of you but I really don't let anything in here get under my skin.

you expressed an opinion. its cool. I can disagree with people and not get too bent out of shape. If they do not want to deal with me as a result thats cool but rarely will that feeling be reciprocated by me.

Opinions are like greenwolfs, we all have them and they all stink.

lol

j/k green. lighten up francis.

(this was a funny thread by the way)

gringo--i am sure i saw you at your best...how could you be pissed off with a fine cigar, Jim's good food, and all the alcohol you could want? some of my best memories in japan are from iwakuni.

i wish i could instill the fear in my students that you did. i could never turn any of these people white!

I seemed to have a bit of a man crush on Tee back then. I guess I hadn't met him yet and figured out he's just a sausage- gobbling, middle-aged doofus. His wife is a lovely woman, though.

When teedub tried to stiff the hosts: The unpaid for Perdomo guayabera fiasco and other twists in unrelated capers.

The story has a happy ending though (no, it didn't include hidden camera footage from a massage parlor down in FL)
