i received an interesting email from several different people. something about a former convicted felon who was running an illegal arms for drugs or arms for money or something like that. strangely enough he was working his scam against the congress and senate, and the people of the united states right from the white house, while what's his name the actor, turncoat who turned all his friends into the house unamerican committee run by a drunken congressman or senator,
hard to remember all the bastards that were elected. i believe the former actor was to receive an
oscar for portraying a president but slept through the ceremony.

Rick you should filter your mail from these liberal/pinko/american bashers. These people believe anyone with morals and loves this country has to be nuts/stupid/senile.
What kind of person did he think he was trying to rid Hollywood of Stalinists. Libs think a great man is one who cheats on his wife, sells out his country and lies to the American people.

Glenn, way to go with the Hollywierd crowd. They have been pretty quiet, except for shirking responsibilities regarding the 9/11 American Fund that are hiding from Bill O'Rielly and not wanting to go on his show and fight for the money they helped to raise! George Clooney is a real good leftist pinko, whacko liberal crying foul because O'Rielly wants to put him on the hot seat! Rick, keep sending us those "great educational sites", so we can be "informed" and not standing on solid ground! Charlie

i thought i was calling them as i see them. the phrase that was used is an old racist remark. BUT:
i'll do what i can to keep you informed. did you know that because of ashcroft the fbi can tap your
phone lines. and re reagan and the huac no one was convicted of being a traitor, but they were
black listed because they refused to answer questions about their friends and told the committie basically to go f*** themselves, as any american citizen used to have a right to do. ari fliescher "people have to watch what they say"
guess who stood up for the right of free speech:
Committee for the First Amendment
Humphrey Bogart
Philip Dunne
John Huston
Judy Garland
Ira Gershwin
Paulette Goddard
Rita Hayworth
John Huston
Danny Kaye
Alexander Knox
Gene Kelly
Fredrich March
Groucho Marx
Frank Sinatra
Jane Wyatt
William Wyler
all evil doers of evil?
guess who were blacklisted:

did any of these people deserve to lose their
livelyhood because of an out of control politician?

i believe quale said something like that. "We all lived in this century, I didn't live in this century," Vice President Dan Quayle. i live in today but i have not forgotten friends of mine (US citizens, americans, like you and me, interned in prison camps in the desert. i hope none of you have a dark complexion and a long beard, because ashcroft has a lot of people that look like that in jail, uncharged and incommunicado. remember what happened in germany, a country of well educated people. the bell may toll for you. do not misunderstand any of my ramblings as negative, they are not. but when some one comes into my store and bounces a check, i try to remember him. we are suppossed to be in charge of the government. from the president on down, they are supposed to serve the people, not their personal agenda. maybe it's possible the citizens are satisfied, too bad. i certainly don't expect many to agree with me, but it in your own self interest to know the point spread before you make your bet. ask yourself if you did enough research before you voted for whoever, assuming your vote got counted. tomorrow my son gets married. another great mix of a born again christian and a jew. (he is the jew). i want his kids, which i hope are not born for at least 10 months, to have a better life than i do, and mine is damn good.

How long did it take to research your toss-up between Nader and McCain? I guessing five minutes.

Last I checked the 19 Terrorist who slammed those big airliners into WEC, Pentagon and the one that crashed in Pennsylvania, were all of Middle Eastern backgrounds and birth! Seems logical that Terrorist are coming from that part of the world and we should be looking at ALL student Visa holders in the USA that could be a potential Mohammed Atta or worse. What is wrong with that? I am surprised the ACLU hasn't lodged a suit against the survivors of the downed plane in Pennsylvania, claiming that the passengers interferred with the poor Terrorist rights by not letting them carry out their intentions! My grandparents on my father's side of the family are from the Middle East and on my Mothers side Irish, and I do not feel that it is in any way an inconveience to anybody in this "War" to be detained or questioned. God Bless America and George W. Bush as we are scattering the brave Taliban through the dessert like a bunch of runaway sheep! They are no better than the elite Iraq Royal Guard, who surrendered to anybody that would take them, like a news reporter doing a TV commentary! Charlie

char: I do not feel that it is in any way an inconveience to anybody in this "War" to be detained or questioned. God Bless America. i completely agree with you. we disagree as to the length they are being detained without being charged. the right to a speedy trial to protct the innocent is a fundamental right, remember?

Rick, you have your own answers if you would just listen to yourself. The US Government is indeed supposed to serve the people. They are attempting to do that by increasing safety. Before Ashcroft pushed for new laws, the FBI had more authority hunting down organized crime and gamblers than they did terrorists. Do you REALLY think the government gives two **** about your personal leftist comments on your phone? Or will they spend their time, money and energy on people with known or suspected ties to terrorist groups? C'mon, stop the Democratic "Doom and Gloom" scare tactics. And please don't cry for hollywoods black listed. They wouldn't cry for you...

Almost forgot: Congratulations on your son's wedding! Don't worry about waiting 10 months, the first child is always the fastest! By the way, will your future grandchild be a "born again Jew"?

tailgator. nice ring to that, born again jew. the wedding was fabulous. the new family that we are a part of are wondeful people. while i could easily be the parent of jessica's parents (by age), we became instant family. we are both delighted by their choosing each other, ross's wedding gift to her was a framed photo of them playing in the snow and at the bottom the movies stubs from their first date in nov, 1997. it was like toby and i, except we only waited 3 months from the first date. sometimes we just know.

Sounds like a good time was had by all. But you've gotta elaborate on this 3 month deal with Toby. Was that 3 months from when you first met, or simply the first date? Either way, that's impressive. Heck, my little brother has been engaged for two years now and he won't be married until June! His engagement has outlasted many marriages...

toby was a costumer on my fuller brush route for a few years. ask your parents or grandparents what a fuller brush man was. i would see her for about 5 minutes twice a year. she lived on the top floor of a two story house on the top of a big hill. she had an unobstructed view of los angeles from every window and on a clear day you could see catalina. her rent in 1962 was $65.00 for a 1 bedroom with this overwhelming view, but it was a hell of a climb to walk up the hill to work my route. first date june 17, 1973, we saw the movie music man. we were married sep 7 1963. today when ross got married, brad my younger son and his wife trish, sang at the wedding. the rabbi wants to teach brad to sing like a cantor and work the weddings he does and trish his wife, to be his wedding planner. we did not break down until brad and trish, standing next to ross and jessica sang to them. we don't plan on crying again until the first grandchild is born and gets named drew carey miller. i guess he will be the "born again drew the jew".

I think Ronald Reagan Miller would be a much more sophisticated name for your grandson! But "Born Again Drew" sounds pretty catchy! Charlie
