Who will it be? The obvious choice is the Rams, but Chicago is simply unaware that they shouldn't be this good. And Jeff Garcia has the niners in position to make a run. And look at that favorite redneck Brett Favre, a near MVP season (gotta go to Faulk). But the AFC will win come Sunday, because it will either be a cocky Rams team, or a team that is cocky because they beat the Rams... My homer pick is the Patriots, only because we won't have to travel through Oakland on the road, and Pittsburg won't make it to the Championship game.

With Brett Favre and Ahman Green (did I spell those right?) I have to go with the Packers to win it!

I think Chicago is very aware that they are pretty good. A comparison can be made to Baltimore as they came out of no where to win the Super Bowl last year. As big a fan as I am of the Bears, I still don't think they can get by the Rams. As for the AFC, I think Pittsburgh will go all the way! John

Yes, but still won the Central Division anyway. We lost to two decent teams the whole year: Baltimore and Green Bay(twice)! If we have to face the Packer-Whackers again, rest assured, we will not lose to them a third time!

They haven't beaten the Packers yet this year. What makes you think a third meeting is going to be any different?

Since my Chiefs bolted from contention early on I am pulling for da Bears! Little Bears, Big Bears, Tiny Ditkas, and any other old tradition and juju magic to make the Bears win the whole thing! Smoking something stronger than a cigar-no, just dreaming! Charlie

While you guys argue back and forth, the Rams will coast to the Big Easy. I just hope my Patriots are there to greet them.

plabonte: as i said i'll give 9 pts against anyone the rams play for a decent cigar. who's up? we still have a bet from 11/30/01. (that is you in WI, isn't it?) i offered a monte #5 and you never said what your end was. perhaps the thought of losing never entered you mind. you said "i'll bet the bucks go further in the playoffs than the lakers" i also have an open bet with char that condit will be reelected if he runs, and he is running.

I said I would put up an ACID #1. (you can go back and check the threads if you like). And yes that is me in WI. I'm assuming you are betting on the Rams in the Superbowl. Should they not make the big dance, does the bet become void or do you lose by default?

sorry i missed the acid response. if the rams are not in the superbowl, the bet is irrelevant. more precisely, i will take the rams to win the superbowl, should they be there on super sunday, and give 9 points against anyone unfortunate enough to play them. it does not matter if warner and/or faulk is hurt. bets off if georgia is pregnant at the time.

Who is Georgia? I'll have to wait and see who is in the Suberbowl before I make this bet. But just in case what are we betting for?

georgia frontiere married carol rosenbloom, her 4th or 5th husband, and owner of the rams. even though he was an excellent swimmer, he drowned mysteriously in his own pool while swimming alone. the widow soon dumped his son from the payroll and went on to marry some guy named frontiere who was convicted of scalping rams football tickets. she once held up the team year book for 3 months while she decided which picture of her looked the best or showed a road less traveled. i don't care who they play the bet stands open. either a week in oaho at the kahala hilton (better check the rates) or a good cigar.
