I actually have 2. FIRST, the scene in 'The Sopranos' where Tony gives a box of Montecristos to his doctor neighbor. The Dr. says: "These are Cubans! Arn't they illegal?". Tony says: "They fell off the back of a truck". SECOND: In 'Schindler's List' where Oscar Schindler uses Cuban cigars to bribe the Germans, instead of German cigars.

Bill, liked both of those scenes and always have appreciated Bogey in The African Queen the way he handled the cigars in that great movie! Also, Clint Eastwood in one of the "man with no name movies" after he has blown away all the bad guys and tells the Undertaker/barber "my mistake, make that 5 coffins!" And the KING of Cigars in movies is Arnold Schwarzenegger! Charlie

the scene in 'high plains drifter' where the guy lights a match and holds it up to Clint Eastwoods smoke and asks him "what did you say your name was again?" Clint just says "I didn't" sweet

I watched the movie 'Sticks' recently. It is about this gang that smuggles Cuban cigars. The big cigar is a 'Butterfly'. The get in a shooting war over them. Does any one know if this was a real cigar? I saw one of the auctions here for cigar labels and the pic showed a label that looked like a butterfly. I bought some of the labels in the auction, but no butterfly.

The best was Papillion, when Steve McQueen is offered a puff off a cigar from a leper who was smoking it ... takes it, and draws several times on it ...

"How did you know I wasn't contageous?"

"I didn't ..."

WORST cigar scene: Travolta in "Swordfish". He held his cigars like a girly-man, with his palm up -- just goofy! BEST: I say Pacino in "City Hall". And of course Edward G. Robinson in all his movies -- now HE was the man.

William Holden in "Stalag 17" when he strikes the match on the guys beard and lights his cigar! And Yul Brynner in "Magnificient Seven" when they are going to drive the body to Boot Hill in the hearst and he lights up the cigar and starts talking to Steve McQueen! So many great cigar scenes in Westerns! Charlie

The one cigar scene I love is in "Blazing Saddles" where Taggert gives Mongo a cigar and he lights it by putting it in his mouth and sticking his head in the campfire.

Hellboy I and II. Lots of good cigar scenes. Perlman is great in these flicks.

Neither a movie, nor a favorite scene, but.....I did watch a cigar scene this morning that had a great cigar quote:

In an episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, actor Chistoph Waltz (the evil Nazi from Inglorious Basterds) said: "Cigars is one of these things that I think about like comedy -- it has to be exquisite to be good...if it's less, you might as well skip it"

Wheel would have appreciated that...
