Delta was right. A year of rest on these and they are really nice. Here's hoping the same is true of the dark corojos.

You’ll like them stogie. I’m shocked you’ve never had one. I keep quite a few of those around at any given time. What did you order if you don’t mind me asking

Haha, no, thank you though! I am almost out of room in the tupperadore right now. Plus, I usually prefer cigars in the 5"-6" range just due to the time available to me for smoking in the evening... I actually nodded off smoking a cigar the other night on the patio, woke up as it hit the ground.

Does the lack of girth make up for the added length in terms of general smoking time for lanceros?

Picked up a Oliva Servie V lancero. Should be here next week and then it will rest for a while before smoking it.

The first real cigar I ever smoked was an Ashton Churchill (7.5" x52) and I remember reading an entire issue of Cigar Aficionado (back when it was a really thick magazine) and still having half the cigar left. I think that was a three or four hour smoke for me back then... I guess I have stayed away form the Lancero size because of a fear of time commitment.

Great choice to pop the cherry, actually one of my favorite lanceros. Usually lasts me about an hour and a half, but I am a pretty slow smoker.

+1

When I first got on CBid, the MF #4 and Oliva V Lanceros were attainable via the auctions although not easily winnable. I tried to win as many as I could but unfortunately failed many, many times (...I know, I know, I should turn in my Man Card...). Probably gifted away more than I smoked.

Anyway, you need to pay more attention as well as smoking Lanceros slower than other vitolas so yah, not unusual to take longer while smoking them.

Thanks Jsnyder and Palama. I am a pretty slow smoker in general, looking forward to it in a month or so when it clears quarantine.

Stogie. I smoke fairly fast and still really enjoy lanceros. I think you did well with an oliva v. I have a box and a half of those. Really good. I like all the vitolas of that cigar

Snyder I’m doing well man. Haven’t checked in on the v herf in quite a while. Maybe I’ll do that some weekend. I’ll let you know if I do.

66026 tatuaje black corona gorda gifted from sunover beach. Super good smoke sir. I like this size
