Howzit John! Great to see you!

The M?ystery was quite nice so maybe it’s mellowed these past 2+ years? It smoked very well with good smoke output. Although short, took a little over an hour to smoke it. Thanks again! 👍

Marcus, I like them. May not be the most complex smoke, but burns well and tastes good.

53047- Rocky Patel Decade 6.5x52....3 1/2 yrs on this one. Nice smoke.

53048- Oliva Serie V 5x54

53049- My Father Le Bijou 4.5x50.... I know a lot of the guys on here really like this cigar, but I did not. It had some sour notes, some bitterness and an ashtray finish. Most of the cigars I smoke have spent at least a yr or two in my humidor, this one only 3 weeks, so maybe needs some rest.

If I’m honest (and I am), this was the first time I have been disappointed by a Saka product. I was expecting fuerte and got Fuente.

I should also add, however, it was the first from that box and I may have been a scotch or four in at that point, so I should probably reserve judgement.

Ha ha Thanks for your responses. I've had one of the toros without much strength/flavor, but overall I think it's a great blend.

I thought about picking up a box of the fuerte, but wasn't sure how much different it would be from the regular line. Let us know what you think once you get further along in the box.

53075 Best Seller Maduro......about 2.5 years on them.......they’re coming along nicely

And Robert, that Le Bijou Petite Rob..........sour notes, ashy finish?
That’s a dang bummer..........but I’ll bet they’ll be ok after s longer nap..........that’s just the way a lot of DPGs stuff is.

Will do. I actually love the Toro (got nicotine sick off one shortly after release). I’ve got at least one box of each vitola now. But since Steve tweaks the blend for each one, you get a different experience. I was hoping this would be closer to the Toro, but it was more like the half churchill, which, although still good, is my least favorite of the line.

Similar experience with Sobremesa (I only keep boxes of the short churchill and elegance en cedros as I find them the best of the lot. Mi Querida and Umbagog seem more consistent across vitolas, but that MQ Firecracker was exceptional. Haven’t tried Sin Compromiso yet. My b&m opting not to get any and I haven’t bothered to order online.

Probably more info than you wanted.

#53077 - Talavera , excellent cigar I got from Shaun in mystery trade.

#53078 - Super Stroke , same trade, thanks

#53079 - El Gugeneuse Maduro- toro? impressed with every vitola i have tried though the lonsdale was best

#53080 - Crowned Heads - Angel's Anvil - still have a couple left

#53081 - my first cohiba - gotta do more of these. Thought the brand was all hype or too strong. Neither.

Looking for that last Sobremesa torp I have. Hey Monkey, you seem impressed with sombemesa and got me curious. Have you tried the short torp? That's the only one I have tried and for whatever reason it didn't excite me one way or another. Wonder if vitola would matter that much. Could be it didn't rest or could be just me.

I have not tried the short torp. I think that’s a special vitola made only for one retailer. For me the short churchill is the benchmark blend in that line. You may have a chance to try one shortly, if I can ever get my act together.
