New packaging but from what I read the Triple Maduro is the only Camacho blend that Davidoff did not change in any way. I personally think they need at least 6 months rest to be at their best...the bundle I'm smoking through now has been resting for about a year and a half. The robusto can be found for $4 per, at certain times, at the tenski place.

I did a review on the new ones a few years back.......thought they would be a fine substitute for the old ones with a good nap.
I still have 13 of the old ones (thanks to DP) I got from the other place 6 years ago.

They are pretty dang amazing now...

53194 La Palina Black Label from a year or two back. Excellent flavor, mediocre construction. Might've been my last cbid win. Got 10 fivers for $100 iirc. I'd buy more for $2 per. But they like to smoke hot, but not too hot. Too cold and they go out. Too hot and they go sour. Right in the middle they burn unevenly or go out. Gotta keep em on a very narrow balance beam just on the underside of too hot.

That has EXACTLY been my experience with them. Love them when they're performing, but they are high maintenance.
So many times I look at 2 of them, in the top tray of one of my humis, and I simply say fuq it, don't feel like wrestling this evening.

Just to be clear, they made other sizes in the old TM but for some reason, the Robusto was made just a little smaller than the more common 5 x 50. Then when they rebranded, the Robusto was changed to 5 x 50.
