^^this fuggin cigar drove me crazy.
Had a box of the Robs.
1/3 - good
1/3 - yard gar
1/3 - so bad, they had to be tossed, usually before an inch in.

By far, the most inconsistent box of cigars, bundle, or group of cigars I’ve ever purchased.
I musta got unlucky.........let them rest almost 2 years before I even started smoking them!

58365 - Drew Estate Tabak Especial. The coffee infused two tone fancy swisher sweet.

I thought I'd got rid of all of these, but found two in my humidor. I may just chuck the other one. I cannot abide those sweet caps anymore. Not talking

That's been my experience for the most part. For the price (pre-meltdown) they are really good. I have had all of the vitolas in this line... The flavor is usually there on every cigar, and in my experience they burn better with age. I'm at the 3 year mark with this last box, got 5 left. They are smoking wonderfully. If you take the band off of it you'd think you had a 5 or 6 dollar cigar in hand.

But I think DP said that quality has went down over the last couple years. Either way these are probably the last five I'll ever have unless I start buying from CBID again.

I wish Bueso would go out on his own eventually. It would be interesting to see what he could come up with...

First cigar in almost 40 days............very nice.
Think I need to stay at 2-3 cigars a week like I did for years.......but then somehow became 7-10 week.

Which vitola? I've got both the robusto and the perfecto. Both resting from the truck. I do like their stuff.

Oopsie! Left out that one small detail. d'oh!

It’s the Lancero.

Beautifully constructed but a bit squishy, especially at the cap. Clipped fine though. Had these stored in my Connecticut humidor @69% so gonna move the rest to a cooler @65% to see if that helps.

Squishiness aside, easy draw, good smoke output. Smokes fast for a Lancero. Got some good retrohale spice / pepper.

Nubbed it.

Will revisit in a few months.

They have a lancero for i think all of the original blends. The RoS was very good. I have a Jacob's Ladder lancero I'm looking forward to checking out.

based on positive reviews here and elsewhere, I bought some Southern Draw product recently...Kudzu robbies, Rose of Sharon lanceros and Firethorn toros...

58377 -- Southern Draw Kudzu...was only OK, hoped it would get past the graham cracker base flavor...but stayed pretty much the same all the way

I remain optimistic the other two will meet expectations...

I still keep an element of "wanna try new stuff" that was my original M.O. with cigars, but calmed somewhat as I've settled on a roster of regular rotation smokes...

+1
It takes a lot more “positive noise” these days to get me to try something new than it did many years ago.
I’ve settled in on about 15 to 20 or so “favorites” which seems to be enough for me.
