White circular spots on cigars?

I have white circular spots (about the size of a deer tick) on some of my cigars (Rosa Cuba Media Noche and Alcazar No. 5 Maduro), WHAT ARE THEY!? They look like a stain on the wrapper, they do not rub off (like plume or bloom does) and they're SCARING THE LIVING S#!T OUT OF ME! I just spent the past 2 hours taking cellophane off my cigars in my big acrylic humidor and noticed these spots and now I'm scared. I am hoping to GOD that these are not indications of cigar beetles. There are no holes in any of my cigars so I need your responses A.S.A.P.! Please help me, email me at [email protected] if you can help (I'll also be checking this forum like a madman). I'll calm down after I find out what these are. Thanks for your help and your time on this 4th of July extended weekend.

Sounds like mold. Has the humidity in your dor been high?

The humidity in my humidor has been 69-71% RH. It's an acrylic display humidor, holding about +250 sticks with a large Griffo humidifier and charged with Griffo 50/50 solution. The color is whitish-yellow, but not any hint of a bluish tint to it (which would definitely suggest mold). If it is mold, what do I do? I'm taking the cigars (about 5) out of the humidor now as a precaution and will place them in a cigar jar in the meanwhile, waiting your responses. Thanks again.

IT'S NOT BEETLES OR MOLD!! I don't remember the name for it but occassionally wrappers develop these spots or discolorations. It is my understanding that they are harmless and do not affect the smoke in anyway. The only thing it ruins is the asthetic beauty of a fine wrapper.

Does it wipe off easy? It may be "plume", with is a harmless biproduct from the oil in the tobacco.

I belive it is called bloom. The way I was told this is good> means the wrapper is aging well and the oils have crystalized and your cigar is ready to be lit up. Mold I believe should be greenish blue spots from high humidity. Could be wrong but someone who really knows will post soon to let you guys know.

The white spots are oils which come to the surface of the wrapper in high concentrations and they will not affect the cigar in any way.

Thanks for your help guys/gals! I know it's not plume/bloom because it doesn't wipe off, it's an actual discoloration, now I feel relieved and can return these momentarily ostracized sticks to their home. Thanks again all.
