I guess I would say Joya De Nicaragua's.....I know they are very easy to draw which is not prefered by many but not a bad little cigar in the Robusto....

I agree, for about $50 a box the Joya de Nicaraguas(not Hoya) are a pretty good deal but my favorite $50 box are Puros Indios #4s.Now that they have aged I believe that they are worth twice their price.

I have always had good luck with Puros regardless of the size. A fine spicy cigar! In fact I believe I don't have anymore....must restock with a box of Puros.

had my first mayorga last week, a toro maduro. every cigar since then has been missing something, even some old favorites. guess that says volumes.

I have been seeing alot of the Mayorga line around here lately. I may have to try that line to judge for myself. Thanks for the insight.

For around $50 a box, I would say the Baccarat Casino Vintange (not to be confussed with the Havana Selection) Robusto would be my choice. They are a very tasty cameroon wrapped stogie, and do not have the sweetened tobacco the havana line has.

I like Consolidated's new Cabanas with the H2000 wrapper. Reasonably full-bodied, but a good price at $50 for a box.

I agree with Mel; the Mayorga maduro tops my list -- $50 or not (but I won't pay much over since I know that's about the retail, depending on size).

Mayorga is a great deal, Flor de Oliva grand cammeroon is another, These La Luna cigars have impressed me so far. La Rosa especial is under $50 and I have been getting La Gloria cubana for $52 so I guess these two would qualify as well. Oh Hoja de Jeffe is a steal at $30 beans.

Tried a Mayorga the other day myself, and was fairly impressed. Guess this thread is partly why these 5-packs has rosen to at least $20 lately. Too much really, since a whole box can be bought for $50 or less. But.... it's a nice cigar.

When I read the title, I thought this was gonna be about a SINGLE stick, not a box.

It seems like the forum has become somewhat more elitist since the year 2000. Is that accurate?

Also, that $50 box of JdN now costs $156.99 at the mothership for robusto grandes. That's over 300% inflation in 22 years. That's a lot. An online inflation calculator says it should cost about $84. There's a few extra taxes now, but even with them, $100 max. The other $56.99, don't know why that's there other than more people smoking, more faux connoisseurism, more market demand, more suckers like us willing to pay jacked up prices. Crying

I remember getting boxes of La Aurora Untamed, SLR Maduro, and Boneshaker FBC for around $50. They were all on clearance at other sites and predated the plague by a few years though

Black pearl morado are pretty decent cheap smokes. I like em. Wrapper is thin and sensitive but they’re respectable. I honestly think you can still buy the robusto here for at or around 40$.
