And Kids....

That's Mrs Gater, and two of my three little gaters.
It was a surprise visit by the World Series trophy and my wife was lucky enough to have been there. I only wish my other daughter was there for the photo op.

The body guards who tote the trophy around almost didn't take their picture. When they told her to smile, she said "why, it's not like it's the Lombardi Trophy?".

Despite this being Red Sox Nation, we're a family of Patriots fans through and through.
I Love Her!!!

What a great reply from the Mrs. You are one lucky man for sure. How many ladies would even know it is called the Lombardi Trophy.

The pic was taken two weeks ago in my town of Mashpee.

The trophy toured each and every town in Massachusetts. I think there are 351 of them!

The Mashpee stop was at the town's Senior Center, and the line was over 200 people. The school kids who gave a Flag Day presentation to the geezers got to go right to the front of the line. The school principal let my wife go with the kids because she does so much volunteer work at the school.

My son is 5, and my oldest is 8. My 6 year old daughter wasn't there, otherwise this would be my favorite picture of all time. Also, I wish the kids were smiling. I guess they, too, wanted the Lombardi trohy!!

And for the record, I was also surpised to learn that my wife knew the name of the Lombardi tropy.
She's a keeper...

tailgater, here's how I do it, but others may have a better way.
Go to the bottom of the first pic page and go to the "next 50". Go into the address block and change the date to a different year and WHAMMO, you're in the 2005 or 2004 pics. Pick a year and month and you're off to the past.

I didn't think so when we met. The first one appears to be in on it. Wonder what her name was...

When wife #1 hit 40 I traded her in for 2 twenty year olds.
It was in the pre-nup.

What did she mean by that?

I've been doing this for too long.

My boy on the left is my youngest, and he's now an engineer working at GE on Apache helicopter components.

My girl on the right is my oldest and she's an ER nurse and engaged to be married next year.

That gal in the middle has lost her mind and is still with me after nearly 30 years.

And my misfit middle child is out making waves and I'm still pizzed she wasn't in on this picture.

^ Yeah, WTF happened in the playoffs? Best team in the league and you lose in the first round? (shaking my head)

Nice! It's probably a very interesting and rewarding job. Is this the GE plant in Lynn? I've always loved aircraft and the technology that goes into them. I almost took a job at Pratt & Whitney down in CT many years ago

Yikes! They grow up so fast, don't they? My daughter wanted to do Veterinary (part of being a vet is you have to kill pets which totally turned her off). She works at a fancy coffee shop that has a lawyers office on the second floor. Now she wants to pursue being a lawyer. I have a few years before she graduates HS to try to convince her otherwise.

My son will graduate HS this year and wanted to do welding. He has a co-op right now and through the summer doing welding stuff but wants go into Environmental Sciences in college. Not a bad profession. Plenty of work out there for environmental health and safety stuff. He just turned 18 a month ago (I hesitate to say he turned into an adult but by legal standards I guess he is). He successfully got a badge of honor of totaling his first car. Luckily nobody was hurt other than his bank account and my wallet in order to buy him another one.

They do grow fast.
The boy is indeed at the Lynn facility.
Lynn, Lynn, city of sin. You never come out the way you went in.

Send your son to my shop if he wants to work in manufacturing. Plastics is just like environmental sciences...
