I use a Colibri Quantum lighter, and started having trouble with it working. It would sputter and not hold a good flame, and I have always used colibri butane. I mentioned this to a friend who introduce me to Volcano Lava, which is a quintuple refined butane. After several fillings and ventings, as recomended, the lighter is working great again. Have any of you guys had a good or bad experience with a brand of butane? Does anyone else use the lava butane, and does it seem to burn better?

I just got my Colibri Quantum back from Colibri's customer service dept. last week. I have only used Colibri butane for it and it still broke! It had a faulty platinum ignition filament that broke and needed to be replaced. I had the same problem with sputtering before it finally broke. Anyway, after getting it back, I continue to use Colibri butane and it's working fine (although this experience has made me appreciate cedar matches MUCH more). I don't know if that answers your question, but I tried :)
