those that post those threads, it is a form of entertainment. To me it is a mild annoyance, to have to deal with their mental masturbaton. By even posting to this thread, they gain importance, in their own mind. I usually just ignore those threads, but the SmokingDonkey2 thread, on the picturepost forum, is getting old.

I'm pretty sure those were the origination of the 500 threads.
Been a minute, but based on the other threads I was digging through, looked like that was how they started.... then just became a single 500 thread.
