Well, if you translate directly from spanish it means hole of monterrey. Rather an odd name. Thats just using a web based translator berhaps someone with more cultural insights can do a beter job.

A hoyo is a dip in the land, not really a hole. The implied meaning is like "sweet spot". Like in English we could say something is "in a groove" or he's "in a zone". If you translate that directly to Spanish it would sound as dumb as the hole of Monterrey does.
