How To: Get your Wife/Fiance/Girlfriend to smoke cigars with you.

My wife isn't totally against cigars. In fact, she's tried her fair share. In the past, she's uttered the words "I love the smell, they're just so nasty and taste like smoke!"

I eventually bought her come cigarillo's. Vanilla, Mocha, Chocolate... etc.

She's enjoyed these more but still hasn't fully committed to what cigars and a fine beverage is all about.

Tonight, I not only convinced her to smoke, but she brought it up! Not only that, in the freaking spare room of our home! After all was said and done, she said "we need to do that more often".

She enjoyed our long conversation and bonding time (which is part of the bro-code of cigar smoking).

So these are the tips:

1) Get her a flavored cigar/cigarillo.
2) Find a heated room, lounge, etc... (cold places, outside under a heat lamp, these do not work for the ladies)
3) Make sure to treat her like a bro, whilst smoking.
4) Don't over-bro it though and bro it all out of proportion.
5) You can't teach a lady the finer points of cigar smoking (training the palette, the in-n-outs of cigars) right away, it takes time.
6) Only delve into training after you have the heated space, and mix random points into a cigar into your deep conversation.

This will lead you into a fortress of cigar smoking solitude.

Thanks,

Tell me again why I want to do this?

I would have to build a "her" humi so I don't have those nasty things smelling up my cigars.
My cigar budget becomes divided.
My "me time" is cut down.

Hmmm...

Why would anyone want their wife to smoke cigars? It'd be like kissing an ashtray. Besides - do you REALLY want to sit on the deck with a scotch, a cigar AND your wife?

Worst thing I ever did was teach my second wife to golf. In return she taught me to ski - NOW that was a blast. The uncoordinated wench routinely got the crap knocked out of her either getting on or off the ski lift. Hmmm . . . Maybe my current wife would like to learn to ski.

I wouldn't want my wife to smoke, not that she would even consider it...but it is a nasty habit. I agree with your wife to some degree that they can be nasty and taste bad. There are times still that I can't stand how my mouth tastes the next day after one cigar. So I'm not even sure I'm "fully committed to what cigars and a fine beverage is all about," and I have bought a LOT of cigars (and still have most of them...LOL).

Heck, if my wife took up the habit and decided to start buying cigars at even 1/3 the pace I did....I would be BROke!

Agree.

My wife also hates cigarettes, and I'm glad. Because I can't stand cigarettes either. Dancing Smoking cigars is pretty much always alone time for ME or some other BROS (i.e. my dad, bro-in-law, tossing ball with my boys in the backyard, etc). If my wife wants alone time, she'll go to the mall or get together with the girls.

so many tough guys on the internet these days.

Fact is, I love my wife and my "me time" can be "us time" sometimes. The difference is... she wont resent me in 20 years because I ignored her a few days a week to go hide and smoke a cigar away from her.

Anyways, as a good, god-fearing man... I know what's up and this was a good move for our relationship...

As for the gentleman who's called me "metro" in two posts, I don't really take it as anything other than a compliment... look at forbes, GQ... etc... those guys your women are drooling over in them magazines are considered "metro" as well, because they have a good fashion sense and know how to speak to individuals with respect. So again, thank you for the compliment.

For anyone who isn't a negative-nancy in life and enjoyed the post, happy herfing :)

Wow...

My Broad does what she's told.
If I direct her to leave me in my solitude, she does so .
When she has completed her chores,I then reward her with sex...

I also explained, in detail, that I wasn't married yet when I took the photograph and was wearing the ring on the wrong finger intentionally, but hey, who's really reading the posts anyways yanno?

I'm unaware of why all the personal attacks on here out of nowhere, but again, it's the internet. Very easy to be mean to someone for no reason at all other than to appear to be cool to other people.

Also, I didn't take interest in his avatar... I asked him if he wore a tiger-skinned toga and carried a big wooden club, as to infer he was a caveman, based on his post.

It's one thing to have a sense of humor, which I'm full of, but it's another to attack someone just based on a couple of posts... it sure doesn't make me feel welcomed here, but again... I dont let the internet get me down, I've been around enough to know there are folks around who have nothing but time on their hands to come across as a badass on the internet. That's not my intention.... mine is to enjoy the site, enjoy cigars and enjoy life... so besmirch all you like... you're not doing any real damage
