Many years back we took a cruise and one of the stops was Dominica. We signed up for an island tour and our tour guide, who went by the name of “Shy Guy”, didn’t give us the cookie cutter tour that the others had.

He knew just about every local around. He took us to places off the beaten path, and we got a personalized tour. He really took care of us: recommending what to eat, what not to eat, shooing away the shady street peddlers, taking us to scenic outlooks that were not on the standard tour routes. Man o man, the van ride up and down the mountain roads made your hair stand up on your neck.

It’s probably the best memory from that cruise.

We had a great tour of Dominica also... Definately one of my favorite stops on this trip.... never felt hassled by the locals.. St. Lucia was a differeent story. I may never return...

I liked it.. it was the first time I tried the Havana tho.. Bar tender was very generous. I thought I was getting a shot and he just kept on pouring. there was quite a bit more in the glass before I decided to take the pic...

Based on the pattern, A Texas blizzard is 2 inches of snow but they announce that it was 3 feet of snow.
