10" cast iron skillet.
The ultimate multi-tasker in the kitchen, AND it's not too big/heavy for a smaller gal to swing, but big enough to get the job done.

Black (cast) iron skillet hands down.

Most people ruin the seasoning by washing them is soap/detergent water instead of rinsing with water and wiping with cooking oil. That is why it's called a black iron skillet. fog

CROS had a Jesus pan.

Then he lost his legs and has to live under a bridge with his dog.

Coincidence?

Oh, if I had to pick one and only one - it would be one of my high-carbon woks. There is very little that can't be done in one.
After that, cast iron.

Le Cruset non-stick fry/saute pan. Got one for Christmas last year. Has the weight and cooks like cast iron with the advantage of a non-stick coating. It has quickly become the go-to pan in our kitchen.

First love is my well seasoned large cast iron but I also love my Wolfgang Puck stainless deep skillet. Between the two there isn't much I can't cook to perfection.

...and yeah, this is a pretty desperate attempt to start a thread...but look at how many of us have an opinion on it. Hell, we have an opinion on EVERYTHING around here...Tongue

I'm still going with the 10" cast iron skillet. The more you use it, the better it gets!
2nd favorite is my Wolfgang Puck soup pot, but that's a pot, not a pan.

FGM - marble coated? Don't the marbles make it all lumpy and make it a cast iron pain (pun not originally intended, but thoroughly enjoyed after the fact) to make scrambled eggs?

OUCH!

It was a gift. A very nice one at that. My sister knows I like to cook, and has no kids (no husband anymore either but that is another story) so she spoils me. Lucky me!

We use cast iron skillets and non stick.

Wes uses the cast iron skillets. He has one that is so huge, I can hardly pick it up. God forbid someone breaks in, there is no picking up that bad boy to knock them out.

I use pots and pans from the Todd English Green Pan collection. They are on the expensive side, but so worth it. They clean up really well and they can withstand higher temps. Up to 850 degrees. But you need to treat them well. We don't have the whole set. I think we have 4 pieces. And that's good for now.

Depends on what I am making. Eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. I will definitely use my Cast iron pan.
If I am cooking up ingredients for something I am going to toss in the oven, to finish, then Stainless.

I don’t know about Y’a, but my Granny was an Oklahoman. She made sure that I knew how to cook southern style food, especially her way of doing up a fish fry. I’ve got family in the south and family in the Pacific Northwest. But we all love a Dang Good Fish Fry!!!!!

I don't know why but fried chicken in a cast iron taste so different and damn its so GOOD!

Throw in homemade cat head biscuits with that chicken, gravy and mashed taters.

I got to stop.... the dog is looking at me funny with my eyeballs all big and drooling at the mouth. Poor thing probably thinks I am going to eat it!

If I am really lucky, I will land a few Blue cats. They’re not exactly abundant up here.
